Piper (2016)
Cute and a subtle message on the adventures of life
Definitely one of the best parts of the Finding Dory experience. The little piper was not just adorable but the way the makers of Piper captured the beauty of motherhood, survival, nature and adventure in just 6 min is pure brilliance.
As always Pixar was able to successfully make short films more interesting. Sometimes the unexpected adventures are the most memorable. Though we are scared of a new beginning/change/any adventure, it can still turn out to be something you'd love. Life is all about the journey, the adventure. Take chances and may be we'd end up doing something amazing.
Tamasha (2015)
Watch the movie to discover oneself
Imtiaz Ali, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone have all out done themselves in Tamasha. Unlike many movies these days, this one stands completely on the two lead actors' performance and the screenplay. And lovely music, obviously, from Rahman.
Imitiaz delivers the movie in an unique brilliant way, making his point crystal clear: Live life your way. Be yourself. Don't hide yourself behind the face that you are not. With such a simple point, Imtiaz made Tamasha what it is, a worthwhile watch. Tamasha is a not just a love story, it is about emotions. It is a journey of Ved and how meeting Tara, edges him into having an identity crisis and thus, self discovery. And yeah, the beautiful Corsica is an additional treat.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
Shaandaar (2015)
Not as bad as people here are saying
Watched the movie first day first show. The movie was obviously not an epic one but there was comedy, there was romance, there was great chemistry among all the actors and a brilliant cinematography, what more can one expect from a romantic comedy. I would personally give the movie a rating of 7-8, but seeing so much negativity from all these 'high standard' people, rating it 10.
Pros: Cinematography, Shahid-Pankaj Kapoor's chemistry, Shahid-Alia's chemistry, the portrayal of Sana Kapoor (Isha) and the songs (visuals, music, choreography, everything).
Cons: Unnecessary comedy (read: not funny) parts of the sindi samdhi guy (Sanjay Kapoor), lack of a strong story.
Neither a pro nor a con: Unnecessary animation parts
