Past Lives (2023)
Longing for love..
Thisis a semiautobiography of the director of this movie. The cinematography, acting, background music, direction of this movie makes it a good watch. The emotions the main character goes through are so relatable to someone who have been in love. The insecurity, that longing for love and the feeling of not having all things together. As there is a saying our decision makes who we are and where we are that has been portrayed beautifully in this movie. The final good byes are the toughest thing for someone whom you love or care about. Overall a must watch for someone who really wants to go through emotional roller coaster.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023)
Soap opera which can be missed
Rocky and rani kii prem kahaani is just another movie of the year which doesn't leave you with long-lasting impact. The storyline is already shown in the trailer and all of us can even guess how it will end. The character of the movies were not used to their potential. Direction was average with average music. Alia bhat tried to save the film by her performance but with such a poor screenplay nobody can save this movie. The movie editing was not upto the mark. Gone are the days when the public was just impressed by huge sets and beautiful costumes. The audience want content and the direction like k3g, kabhi alvida na khena and not to forget my name is khan.
Glass Onion (2022)
Murder mystery with class
The movie is beautifully shot with beautiful location. The acting of the cast waa spellbounding except daniel craig who was trying hard to deliver but it looked all artificial. The murder mystery has all ingredients but it lacked the suspense like first part. The end could have been little better. The background music , cinematography, props all were up to the mark to make it a rich look movie. The invitation box with puzzle was another scene which was well scripted. When comapred to the sequel of another murder mystery it did good in all aspects. Overall movie keeps you guessing and is not so predictable.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Must be experienced on IMAX screen if possible
The hardwork and dedication of James Cameroon is quite plausible in this part of the series. The visionary director comes up with a marvel and to watch it in imax made it more special. The length of the movie is one problem and another problem is it's first half which was way slow. Visuals were breathtaking. The background score was also good and the one must see the behind the scene clips to better understand what goes behind creating such a epic movie. The script should have been little tighter without getting into unnecessary details. Avatar 2 should be felt and will be remembered for it's breathtaking CGI and graphics.
