Celeste & Jesse Forever (2012)
If you're reading this, WATCH IT (Again possibly)
This movie is my "princess bride". I can watch it sick, heartbroken, restless..it doesn't matter. Regardless, no matter how many times I watch, it makes me feel something. And that's the most powerful thing for a movie to do for you. Every time I rewatch I appreciate something different each time. The aesthetics, each character, each scene is just perfectly done. Every time the credits role I'm left so bittersweet happy. This movie is perfection in a bottle and I wouldn't want to change it for anything. The only reason I didn't give it 10/10 is because sadly most relationships/ex relationships don't normally work this way and I truly wish they did.
I Want You Back (2022)
Reversed how I thought I'd feel about the movie
Charlie said in a podcast that even when the script was handed to him it was given with something along the lines of "eh I don't know if you're into it, it's not your style". I'm saddened to say I felt the same when I first saw the trailer, cute well done story line, but that it wouldn't click right with Charlie as the MC. I was slightly unsure of Jenny as well. I was happily proven wrong after watching. Their characters blended so well together I was thoroughly impressed with the actor's chemistry. It was the writing that felt flat. The plot had good potential and it kept my attention until the end but I felt like multiple scenes were missing that spark that would've made the scene soar.
Lego Masters (2020)
Keep Lego, Cut the Cheese
I like Will Arnett, Legos, Badass Builders and Weekly Fox competition shows. So combining all these 'bricks' together should be an easy masterbuild, right? But it's quirky hosting is obnoxiously scripted and I can no longer tell if it's supposed to be ironic or authentic. It's family friendly fun but sometimes I'm confused on who their focused audience is. Adults? Or easily humored children? The second season specifically has added more cringe factor and it's become too cheesy to enjoy.
