Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)
its an okay movie with poor plot/script
Transformers its an okay movie, better than dark side of the moon, unfortunately like all other transformers movies they fall short when compared to the 2007 transformers movie, but this one might be the second best movie on the transformers franchise, having said that it doesn't mean its good, its an average movie, that could have been better.
The first problem is that they changed the entire human cast, which is a disappointment especially if you followed the first three movies, poor acting and characters introduced here let down this movie, at least Mark Wahlberg was better and saved the acting on this movie. The interesting part there is a new transformer named Lockdown and the human created ones, Lockdown he looks more advanced compared to other transformers, and would have loved to see him fight, only you get to see him give a serious fight the last 15 minutes of the movie. The other problem is that the movie is so long, although there is some action-packed scenes and nice visual effects but with poor plot, script and poor acting you'll wish the movies to end, the only thing kept me watching I wanted to see Optimus prime fight with Lockdown and how it will end.
Well, like i said its an okay movie, is watchable and I would recommend to go watch it, but don't expect something special..

Transcendence (2014)
Good plot, but average in many things..
Nice plot, but the movie is let down by some decisions like poor location choice, especially referring to the research laboratory, most of the scenes in the laboratory where shot outside on those massive solar panels that part didn't work out for me. and the execution of acting is not convincing there is another part where Will(main character played by Johny deep) with nanotechnology he is generated into a human body, they didn't show the transformation and so it was hard to believe, you could see that was real Johny Depp human body, they could have used some high tech stuff like 3D, or makeups make the skin look smooth e.t.c make it convincing that its a nanotechnology generated body.
But one thing I liked about the film, the plot, it raises some interesting philosophical questions, one being the danger posed by intelligent machines with a conscious, if we push technology to its furthers development, what if we could create a machine with conscious that could think won't that be dangerous as we might loose control of the machine. that was the interesting part of the movie and I found the plot to be enlightening in that regards.
Godzilla (2014)
Awful
I'm so disappointed, the name of the film is Godzilla, but you only see Godzilla the last 20 something minutes. The entire film is about two boring ugly massive creatures (M.U.T.U). I'm so shocked to see all this positive reviews maybe this people haven't seen the past Godzilla movies.
Another aspect that is disappointing about the film is, Godzilla appears to be fat unlike the 1998 design, I preferred the 1998 design. I don't recommend you to go and see the film, I walked out of the cinema disappointed.

Finding Forrester (2000)
Finding Forrester, review
The movie is about a young writer, Jamal who is talented as basket ball player and gifted in his high school academic work. The film tells a story how he struggles to find his voice as a writer. Although basket ball forms part of his life, it doesn't contribute much to the overall message of the film, other than it helped him get a scholarship to one of the prestigious high school in the city.
Jamal who happens to be a very gifted student, because from his previous school results he maintained an average C, and the fact that he managed to do as well as he did with limited resource and poor background shows he had a potential to be someone one day given the right education, mentorship and education. He was lucky enough to find a good mentor, a writer who won the Pulitzer award/prize. During their friendship Jamal's school grades improved significantly in such a way that his English teacher questioned the sudden improvement. But the improvement was as a result of having a really good mentor who critic his work and taught him how to write including finding his own voice as a writer, but because he made a pact with his mentor to never disclose details about their friendship/mentorship relationship he couldn't tell his teacher that he had a mentor. Things escalated when the teacher asked Jamal to write an essay on his presence at school but Jamal handed an the essay he wrote with William Forrester using, William published another essay with the similar title.
This is a really inspiring film, I recommend it to all writers who just started out writing and struggling on how to get started, and all people going through a mentorship relationship.
