The O.C. (2003)
Wonderful Show...
I must say that this show is possably one of the bests shows I have ever layed eyes on. It's intresting, funny, and often witty. To me it is understandable about the 90210 comments, but I honestly enjoyed 90210 and still at times watch re runs. I've also heard people say that it reminds them of Dawsons Creek, well I adore Dawsons Creek. Im guessing that these kind of shows will only adjust to certan people. If you dont like adult saops, then you will in no way enjoy teen soaps. I however LOVE The O.C.! I watch it everyweek! I enjoy the characters, and their dramatic lives, It's a nice release from my dull life. The main reason I watch however is because of Adam Brody (seth). He is what makes the show what it truely is, He's the quirky, at times nerdy best friend, who has awful luck with women. He's like the Pacy of Dawson's Creek. So if you are a fan of teen soaps(like me) then you will love The O.C.!
Sex & the Single Mom (2003)
Pleasently surprised
When I first saw a perview for this movie on Lifetime, I figured that it would just be another cheesy, fake, annoyingly dull Lifetime original. But because I had seen some rather intresting, and heartwarming originals, I decided to tune in. I remember lieing there in shock at how amazingly real the movie was, and how it really grasped onto some of the hardships of teen life. The lead girl, reminded me of me, Im a lot like her, and it surprised me at how real they made her character. Of course there was some scetchy scenes, like when the mother comes home, and finds her daughter in bed with her crush. It wasnt very realistic, and it seemed to be a very choppy part of the film. Other than that I suggest this movie to any teenagers who want to see a movie about real life, and that deals with issues that we really deal with. And I suggest it to adults who want to know what their kids are really doing. rateing 6 stars
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
Better than expected....much better
"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" When you hear that you imidately think cheap, gorey, bad acting. Thats what you see in the original film made in 1974. When I sat down to watch the original for the first time i was stunned at how boring and uneventful it was. So of course when the new one came out I didnt plan on seeing it. But as the days went on and the commercials and trailers continued to play, I became curious as to weather this remake would be another cheapo attempt to scare little children, or if it would be a full on horror film. So I decided to get together a couple of friends and it was off to the theater. When we first sat down i wondered if it was a bad idea, and if I would have to sit through a piece of crap like the first time. But when the movie began I was once again stunned. Not only was it interesting, and scary beyond belief, It actually made sense, and was realistic. I was sucked in and found myself in tears at one point because I was so terrified. One of my friends was forced to leave the theater because she was so scared she couldnt catch her breath. I suggest this strongly to anyone who loves horror flicks, and it up for a good scare. rateing..... 1-10(1 worst 10 best) I give it a ********* (9)
Mona Lisa Smile (2003)
Waist of time and money
When I saw previews for this movie, I knew it was a movie for me, or so I thought. I went to see it when it came out, but i was very disappointed. Not only did it switch storys, motives, and plots, It constantly dragged out points that werent so important. Im surprised that a Julia Roberts movie could be so boring and not comical at all. All I have to say is, Dont waist two hours of your day on this movie. rating (1-10 1 worst 10 best) **(2)
