The Blacklist: The Freelancer (No. 145): Pt. 2 (2023)
The stunt was so visible that made it funny
I found watching this episode to be a tedious experience due to its poor editing, lack of attention to detail, predictable storyline, and sluggish pacing. The editing felt choppy and disjointed, making it difficult to follow the narrative flow. Furthermore, the lack of attention to details was glaring, with inconsistencies and continuity errors throughout. The storyline was painfully predictable, offering little in the way of surprises or originality. And to top it off, the pacing was incredibly slow, dragging out scenes unnecessarily and failing to maintain viewer interest. Overall, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on this lackluster production.
Alexander: The Making of a God (2024)
Some reality about Alexander
Although these days kids don't read history as much, it's still good to know our world has been formed. After the silly 300, this series has some historical basis. Even if not 100% accurate, but million times better than stupid 300. On the down side, everything is a close up. The producers could have used some computer simulations to show the sizes of the armies. There is no way of knowing the sizes of the armies and cities.
Again, at lease some history supporting this show. The researcher comments were useful too. Lastly, in the maps, they used cities old names, it would have been useful to include the current names in the brackets).
99 Homes (2014)
Amazin
Must watch. Not American style, Reminded me of "A Separation" film. I must commend the director for their exceptional work. The pacing was spot-on, allowing the story to unfold seamlessly while keeping me thoroughly engaged.
The director's ability to elicit powerful performances from the cast was truly impressive. Each actor brought depth and authenticity to their characters, contributing to the overall impact of the film. The attention to detail in both cinematography and production design added a layer of richness to the viewing experience.
I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a well-crafted, thought-provoking film that transcends the boundaries of conventional storytelling.
Messiah (2020)
Directed well, but had many issues in the background
Overall, I give it an eight. However, it had many issues when it got to Farsi language and Iranian culture as they show linked the main character to Iran.
For example: the Parsi words used in the showe were wrong. Even the form they showed as Payam's medical history was in Arabic. Even Payam's name was spelled wrong.
The home they showed in Iran has nothing to do with Tehran's home. The Moosad spy said something to be in Parsi that didn't make sense.
They should have hired at lease one Parsi speaking person to help them. It was disappointing when the form was in Arabic. It's like you make a movie in Germany, and the forms are printed in Spanish.
Blackout (2022)
Slow motions in 2023?
True insult of audience. This movie shows lack of expertise. The slow motion scenes reminded me of Japanese cartoons. Count watch more than 30min of it. Did #Netflix paid for it or the director paid Netflix to become famous?
Still cannot believe I wasted 30min on this! Just don't watch it please. And the soundtrack is another poor art work, high school projects can be better than this one! There's a difference between a bad film and a film I just don't like. A film I don't like may still be well made and may appeal to others. It was a bad film. Still, I have watched films that are "bad" filled with cliches, hammy acting, silly scenes and outrageous, but this one was the worst since Covid started.
