London Boulevard (2010)
Complete waste of a stellar cast.
Hard to find any redeeming features about this pic. It's cliched beyond parody and (mostly) everybody dies. The end.
I liked Anna Friel's performance as the alcohol and drug addled sister of Mitchell but that was about it.
Love, Death & Robots: Jibaro (2022)
Utterly beguiling.
I chanced upon "Love, Death & Robots" one night while flicking through Netflix and was drawn in to a strange and interesting world.
And then this episode came on and completely blew my mind.
I don't have the words to adequately describe it. It's one of the most sadly beautiful, mesmerising, terrifying and truly magical things I have ever seen.
An amazing piece of work and I've been thinking about if for days. Complete genius. Bravo!
Line of Duty (2012)
Brilliant.
I stumbled across this on Netflix four days ago. I think I'd heard it was good a few years ago but didn't take much notice. After all, every TV show seems to be good nowadays.
I've watched all three series since. It's superb. And generally police/crime shows bore me senseless. I can give it no higher praise.
