Mother of the Bride (2024)
Well ... I loved it!
I thought this movie was adorable. I could just relax and enjoy it. Loved all the actors, and feel they did a great job. Ok, so maybe this idea has been done before, but what hasn't? Good storyline. Also loved the fact the most of the characters were older, and reliving their fun memories from past times, and still having a good time and enjoying life. Movie made me smile and laugh throughout. I greatly appreciated that the mature actors don't look like they've had any plastic surgery done to them, and kept their beautiful, natural selves. It was a good movie, and will watch again. Scenery was beautiful too.
The Pod Generation (2023)
Loved it!
I love sci fi, so the concept of the his movie was very appealing to me. The main characters were completely opposite in every way, which gave enough conflict. I liked the dream sequences, because I felt it was a way of telling how their character was slowly changing. The two main characters at opposite ends of the spectrum, eventually met in the middle. Also liked the fact that the set design, wardrobe, etc. Didn't go extreme and scream, "this is a sci fi film!". Had a very minimalist appearance, that was relaxing and soothing. Story idea was great, and could actually take place in any time period, about having a baby, and all the conflicts.
Dying for Fame (2024)
Artie's Glasses ...
Fairly good movie, although the acting was a little dry, but overall ... ok. Main character needed to not be so monotone. The part that bugged me the most, was Artie's glasses not having lenses in them. That was so distracting for me. I couldn't even focus on his conversation, for trying to figure out why the director didn't figure out a way to leave the lenses in and not have them reflect, or just not use them at all. It's little things like that, which can cause distractions, resulting in an annoyance in the movie. I liked the ending, and the movie was decent. Some minor fixes could have made it so much better.
My Norwegian Holiday (2023)
Yes! Great movie!
Yes, Hallmark, you got this one right!
This movie was so different from the normal cliche movies.
No templates here. A different story line, beautiful and precious. I admit, I cried several times.
Acting was superb and believable. Sweet and subtle personalities that grow on you, and not right in your face.
Scenery was absolutely beautiful, without going overboard, very natural. Makes you want to visit Norway. I liked how the customs were gradually introduced by the characters.
If you want to watch a movie, to make you laugh, make you cry, and make you remember ... then watch this one!
Time well spent.
The Wrong Cheerleader Coach (2020)
STOP ... with the glasses!!!
Stressed me out with the constant glasses ritual from the scrappy dad.
And the blond looked like she stole her glasses from Mr. Magoo and made "adjustments" with her BIG glasses.
Was this movie made as a joke about glasses?!
