Good, but have been much better!
16 January 2022
The plot was unique and well-conceived, but the execution wasn't. It was obvious right from the beginning that this not going to be a run-of-the-mill movie & it wasn't. The young actress beautifully played the main character of Sur. She definitely knows how to put in a power performance, but even she was under-used.

Wasn't too high on the suspense factor as well. Rama, going to take a picture at 2am when it's raining, was a dead giveaway, and his father offering Sun to pay for her entire scholarship, killed the suspense was left by then. Having figured out the culprit so early, takes the intrigue factor away.

A good movie to watch once if you are not critic minded & get satisfied with going-with-the-flow.

Terrible & Unwatchable
8 January 2022
What is it with the directors who feel that dark (as in shot in darkness) scenes create more horror! The only thing they actually do is make the film irritable. 75% of the movie is in darkness where you only see silhouettes. It's a pain to watch. Bad direction, predictable storyline, mediocre acting & a horrible attempt at jump scares, this film shouldn't have been made.

Do yourself a favor, skip this one and while you're at it, nominate it as the worst movie of 2018. Close the doors and windows on this one 😅😅

A letdown to the legacy of "The Exorcist"
22 December 2021
I'm a big horror fan and so, I tend to almost always find something in the movie to enjoy. However, this is one of the very few that I struggled with. This is a confused & bungled movie that struggles in every department. The saving grace is the acting of George Scott. The storyline on paper must have been great, but the screenplay is disappointing. Characters in the movie, especially the nurses, were comical instead of being scary. The frequent fragmentation of the story leads the viewer trying to make sense of the movie.

Writer-Director William Peter Blatty seems to be confused. It's neither a psychological thriller nor a gory horror & the attempt at jump-scares is hilarious. Long boring exchanges between Lt. Kinderman & the so-called Gemini killer are boring & repetitive. The bible bashing is with the same old dialogues, nothing original. I wish I could write something good about this movie, but I can't find anything worth praising.

Don't waste your time on this one and if you have to watch it, Pl, don't keep the earlier Exorcist movies as your reference point for expectations. It'll disappoint you.

Paranormal Witness (2011– )
A very interesting and scary show
13 October 2011
This show too is on the lines of so many others in this genre. Yet it manages to engage the audience for the entire duration. It also manages to give some really scary moments. The acting and narration is very good. Although some more real footage, as shown in the third episode would certainly help in increasing both the credibility and scare factor. The show is credible as it does not attempt to over dramatize the happenings.I look forward to each episode. I hope this goes on for a long time.Though I've read somewhere that the episode 6 might be the season 1 finale. That would be really sad... All in all, a big recommendation to all those para freaks out there.
