I watched this movie for the first time at 27yrs of age in 2023 and it was horrendous. Everything I hate about American movies in one 2 hour package, filled with misogyny, racism and classism, and I ended up rooting for the nazis to kill Indiana Jones because he has no redeemable qualities. Only reason I did not give it 0/10 is that this movie clearly set precedent for action movies in general, especially in the action scenes and special effects but looking from a modern POV, there is absolutely nothing you can learn from this that you can't learn from better and more entertaining movies.
Maybe this movie was good 40 years ago, when it came out but today I would not recommend it to anyone.
