Sno Babies (2020)
Excellent movie, hits close to home
For those of you who give this a negative review, you need to rewatch the movie and think about the story itself and not the acting. Was the acting great, no, but the story was on point. Just remember that the production company of the movie is Better Noise Records which is a record company with big name bands (most of which are featured in the film) including Sixx A. M., Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch, Eva Under Fire among others. In addition, most if not all of those bands have had very well known struggles with drug addiction including heroin. In fact, the lead singer of Eva Under Fire (Amanda Lyberg) lost both parents to heroin overdoses and is a licensed psychiatrist and helps people who are like Hannah or know someone like Kristin.
I myself know someone who is like Kristin, the birth-mother of my adopted daughter Nicole-Grace Kappelman. My daughter's birth mother was addicted to all types of drugs, including heroin, didn't know she was pregnant and continued to use without getting help of the baby until September 2015. On September 6, 2015, my daughter was born 10 weeks early at a hospital weighing in at 4lbs 1oz and 16 inches long, in which being early saved her from being born addicted. After our daughter was born her birth-mother signed her rights over to the states leaving my daughter alone for 11 days. Then on day 11 of our daughter's life, my wife got a call that changed our life forever as a baby was waiting for is in the NICU of a hospital two hours away. We drove for two hours every day until we brought her home from the hospital a week later. We were her foster parents for 18 months until the adoption was finalized naming us as her parents. My wife actually reached out to the birth-mother when our daughter was a year old and spoke to her. She tried to clean up her act but she ended up incarcerated due to drug offenses and is still today. Now our daughter is about to turn seven, knows she's adopted and seen pictures of her birth-mother. When we talk about it, she tells us that we are her parents and we tell her that grew in our hearts while she grew in her birth-mother's belly for us.
So again watch the movie for the story, not the acting and give it a watch. Also don't think of it as a "Christian movie" as that is what it is not. The story may seem as it is but it is something more than that.
