Tiny Beautiful Things (2023)
Meh
I was really looking forward to this series since I just love Kathryn Hahn. I can honestly say the storyline is intriguing and I enjoy finding out how these relationships progress with each episode. However, the flashbacks to all the sex scenes is VERY distracting from the story. Im pretty sure the writers could imply some things without actually showing so much. Sometimes less is more and in this case, more is just more and it's wayyyyy too much. Other than the overt sexual context, the show is pretty enjoyable and all of the characters have an interesting backstory which are all worth exploring more (definitely more interesting than all the sex-capades).
Rabbit Hole (2023)
Intense is an understatement
Two episodes in and this series is already my favorite new show. Keifer Sutherland never disappoints with his Jack Bauer-esque grit and wit. The story keeps getting better and better and once you think you know what's going on...you realize you don't know what's going on and everyone is suspect. Every character seems to have their own rabbit hole to go down and the onion layers have only just begun to peel off. I'm going to have anxiety until I see the next episodes because I absolutely have to know how this ends. In fact I need to rewatch these episodes to see if I missed anything so I can piece together all this craziness. I love it!!!

#BlackAF (2020)

Both my best friend and I are mixed race and have rewatched the entire season at least 4-5 times already. It is hilarious and relatable on many levels...not just about race, but also parenting, marriage, working, adulting...you name it and anyone can relate. So friggin hilarious!!!
Unorthodox (2020)
Phenomenal!
I was born and raised in the Jewish faith...not orthodox or Hasidic but have friends who are. I was deeply moved by this film. This movie is a beautiful reflection of a community and the struggle for individuality. I think they did a great job of not disrespecting the Hasidic community while also telling an honest story representing female empowerment. Regardless of a person's spiritual beliefs, this story is universal about finding yourself and your own voice.
Big Time Adolescence (2019)
WORTH THE WAIT
I've been anxiously waiting for this movie to come out and it is so great! Smart, funny, and full of nostalgia...no matter what generation you are from, the story is timeless. And last but not least, Pete Davidson got to show us what he's really made of and on top of being a brilliant comic, he's an outstanding actor.
Castle Rock (2018)

I Am the Night (2019)

All At Once (2016)
Phenomenal Film
No idea why the critics gave it a 5/10 stars! It's not what I expected and a great film with drama, comedy, and a whole lot of heart. At a distance, some of my male friends deemed it a "chic lick", but after watching it, they stood corrected and thought it was an excellent movie. The people in this film, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, convey how the tragedy of 9/11 can affect a person and their loved ones. Furthermore, it shows that life doesn't turn out the way you expect it to, how humans persevere, and embrace the silver lining during hard times.
