Ong-Bak (2003)
Awesome, one of a kind movie!
I'm not much for Thai movies but recently I saw a couple, including Ong Bak and they were quite good. Ong Bak is pack full of action and light comedy. The foot-chase scene as well as the tuk-tuk chases were unique and remind me a little of early Jackie Chan. No strings, no wires, just pure skill, the way it ought to be!
Reversal (2001)
Worth seeing.
Fortunately for me I get HBO here in Thailand. I've seen this movie a few times, once while in Cambodia and once while in Thailand. This movie is a little syrupy and the acting is not the best but for some reason everything works and the movie turns out to be pretty good. I am a relatively new father of two and this definitely is a father's movie. Check it out.
