Puberty Blues (2012)
So good
Comedic, dramatic heart wrenching, well written, well acted.
Such a great series, surprised I've not watched it before.
If you liked Skins I'm sure you'll love this.
Superintelligence (2020)
Hate 'rated for children' (pg) films.
But this is great. I'm sitting with my family, none of who wanted to watch it, and we are all loving it.
Glad I don't take notice of other people's ratings.
Sentinelle (2021)
One wet Sunday morning
Pretty wet morning, sat and watched this as it was recommended to me by my friend Netflix. It's no Bourne (#1) but suspend a little belief and just enjoy it. I did
The Midnight Sky (2020)
Slow (in a good way) sci-fi. I liked it.
Enjoy it for what it is. I did.
If you are expecting Star Wars there's a good chance it may not be for you. If you liked 2001, a Space Odyssey it's probably more up your street but without a psychopathic computer system
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
I can only suspend so much belief.
John Wick 1, fantastic
John Wick 2, ok until the end
John Wick 3, from the get go too over the top, too staged, too repetitive, too violent. As someone else said, "it lost the magic"
I have it a 1 just because the very last line made me laugh
Sorry Keanu
Disturbing the Peace (2020)
So truly bad it's brilliant
I had to watch from start to finish as it was absolutely atrocious. I'm not keen on being critical of the artists involved the making of this, but they did open themselves to it.
The binocular scene is classic, love it but not as good as the terrible chatup scene between a security guard and a prostitute. Only surpassed by the horse chasing a motorbike
I watched it to the end which is what film makers want so gave it 3
I Hate Suzie: Acceptance (2020)
Watched it twice, would watch it again
Brilliant series. Well acted, written and directed. Believable, really funny and incredibly sad. I binged it without my wife but was more than happy to watch it all again with her.
Angel of Reckoning (2016)
So appallingly bad it's brilliant
Ironically I have walked out on high budget films within 5 minutes. Within 5 minutes of this I could tell this was one of the most b rated of b films I have ever seen. Sorry actors, but I have a sofa than could act better than the entire cast. And yet, at the end of it I did not feel cheated, l laughed out loud throughout the entire film and ironically I'd probably watch it again. Brilliant. Keep up the good/dreadful work - I loved it.
Bird Box (2018)
Perhaps too big a budget
Look, it was ok but there is loads of excellent stuff on Netflix where the characters and acting make up for lack of money.
