Sucker Punch (2011)
Visually Stunning!!!
There are many reasons to enjoy this movie.
The visuals are stunning.
As always, Snyder did an awesome job in presenting the movie. Every scene is presented in a very artistic way. The fight scenes are beautifully crafted and worthy of a few more rewinds before moving on to the next scene.
The story is OK, but what lacks on its plot is very well compensated by its phase.
The girls are hot, and they sure kicked some ass in this movie.
I'm glad Snyder is the one appointed in the new superman movie. Many people are saying that the plot of Sucker Punch is weak, but let's assume that it was true, still he manages to present a beautiful, well crafted, and visually stunning film. Imagine if he's given with a better screenplay, sure we got another blockbuster. He may have come short here as a writer but he's a one good director, very good in fact.
Tetsuo: The Bullet Man (2009)
Someone is chasing the camera man...
I always wondered what happened to those who were at "The Blair Witch Project", they worked as the camera crew in this movie. The action/fight scenes in this movie is too shaky for something to register on screen as if the camera man is being chased by the Blair Witch.
I never heard of the director before but may have a very promising career. The accent of the Japanese actors in this film is in a way difficult to understand at times.
I totally agree with the two other reviewers that says "you probably have to be a fan to enjoy this" and "For Die-Hard fans only". The story is weird and confusing at times but still in a way entertaining.
Overall, the movie is watchable.
