Murder Mystery (2019)
Fun!
After much scrolling through Netflix, I really needed and wanted to watch a good, reliable, fun and entertaining show and this was perfect. Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston are great together. They had the right amount of chemistry to be a believable couple - not too gooey, sense of humor in that married for a while but still loved each other way. The movie did have some much appreciated and unexpected twists and turns- along with the good intentions of Adam (which I find endearing ) plus the beautiful scenery made this a great escape.
Can't wait to watch Murder Mystery 2! Especially since they filmed in Hawaii!
The Company You Keep (2023)
Deserves a season 2!
Really got into this show. The actors are great, good chemistry and storyline could go far. Disappointed that abc cancelled a show with such potential. Is there a way for the network to change their mind? I also feel like there was a lot of good / real life issues brought up that would be great to shine a light on. Government, politics, money, corruption, big business / capitalism and so on. I also the Asian American representation here too. Catherine is great, Milo and his family have heart so you really find yourself rooting for them, and Felisha keeps you guessing. Wondering if Hulu would be able to pick the show up for streaming??
24: Day 5: 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (2006)
Question about Walt Cummings
In a previous episode, doesn't Mike Novak over hear Walt giving orders to get rid of Jack? Then mike calls the Palmer and Palmer warns Jack... Anyway, why is Mike still trusting Walt?! I know he probably can't tell the current President but I would have someone watching Walt's every move.
The Blacklist: Konets (2021)
This is why I avoid following the news to my favorite shows
I had no idea Megan was leaving the show, so that made this episode completely shocking to me. Sad to see her go, especially like this. I know it's just a show, but I'm also sad for her character's daughter. Overall I thought this episode was good (on an emotional level), but the show itself felt like I wanted a little more after all these years invested.
The Moodys (2019)
Brings that feeling of family and the holidays
I love holiday shows and this one makes me feel that, even after the holidays. There's something about the bond of family in all the craziness of life and love that brings a certain kind of warmth. I love the feeling this show brings to me and where it transports me, especially these days when it's been awhile since having a family holiday.
Yes Day (2021)
Heartwarming
At first I thought this was going to be a bit too hokey for me, but I throughly enjoyed it! There's a genuine warmth Jennifer Garner has, and you feel that a lot. So much that it made me wish I was a part of her family. The touch of grit was perfect too. I think it's what makes me love her so much. The kids and father were also great and I loved the ending with H. E. R. That's something every music lover would dream of happening to them.
Firefly Lane (2021)
Enjoyed it; felt a little hooked
Really liked the series although I did feel like the funeral scene was bait to keep us watching and it worked. The only downfall was it made me impatient to find out what happened (maybe it's my fault for being that way). But I did feel like it could have gone a little faster? And the last episode (!) leaving us hanging like that :!
On the positive side, I'll probably be waiting for season 2.
Greyhound (2020)
Fast paced & extremely riveting
Did not expect this to be as exciting as it was! Tom Hanks is great ! (not surprising)
Raised my respect for the Navy even more. Could not even imagine going through what they went through. I just kept thinking, these battleships are such big targets(!) There's nowhere to hide, and back then technology was not great. I found myself holding my breath at times while watching. Note: don't watch this before bed. It's too exciting to be able to sleep right after.
Behind Her Eyes (2021)
Something different and unexpected
Enjoyed this. Kept me watching and quite suspenseful. Did not expect the ending! *mindblown*
I'd watch a season 2.
(Little boy Adam is adorable)
Emma Fielding Mysteries: More Bitter Than Death (2019)
The fake accent was too much for me. 😩 but story was entertaining
He tried to sound British but it sounded a bit Australian at times as well...? Accent came and went. It took away from the show, especially since the show is about history and artifacts and clearly his accent was not even close to believable.
Fleabag (2016)
Will there be a season 3? 🙏 I really hope so!!
Season 2 was so good!! I laughed and cried and really felt for her.
Batwoman: A Secret Kept from All the Rest (2020)
Confused
Batwoman last got the book during the fight on the rooftop, and then as Kate, hooked up with the bartender lady who later took the book from Kate's backpack. But how did she know she had the book? The other guys did not know that Kate is Batwoman right? So how could they make the connection that Kate would have the book??
Batwoman (2019)
I'm gonna stick up for Batwoman here!
I for one appreciate the story and characters, especially their vulnerability (which brings about their strength and courage). I love seeing an open character like Batwoman and I found myself drawn and invested into caring for the characters in this show. Also love the presence of more women in a superhero show. I'll definitely continue watching and hope to see more. I think Ruby Rose does a great job here. 🖤
