Marry Me at Christmas (2017)
Painful to watch
This has to be one of the worst Hallmark movies ever and there are a couple that are awful. There is practically no plot line, the acting is wooden and they must have used the lead's name Johnny well over 100 times like we couldn't work out who he was otherwise. Just horrible and it's 2 hours of my life I will never get back.
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Fan-frellin-tastic!
Outstanding! Thank you Mr Lucas, you outdid yourself. I loved it. The visual spectacle of the SFX was astonishing. The music was soul stirring. The costumes were incredible. The aliens were amazingly real and lifelike and not just like people in a rubber mask ... thank you Henson Creature Shop for you great contribution. Thanks too, to Brian Henson for making Farscape where the new makeups and creatures were perfected over the last few years.
The only disappointment - if you could even call it one - was that it wasn't anywhere near long enough. I felt some of the back story could have been included and the cuts from one point to the next left huge gaps in answering why and how Anakin was so easily swayed. I hope the bits that ended up on the cutting room floor make it into the DVD when it is released. But all in all, it was a wonderful climax to the Star Wars saga. I laughed, I cried and I cheered. I do so hope Mr. Lucas changes his mind and gives us the rest of the story! You hear? We need the last trilogy!!!
Go see it - you won't be disappointed!
Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars (2004)
Fan-frellin-tastic!
NOTE - There are no spoilers in this review.
In typical Farscape fashion Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars carries the viewer along at starburst speed with more twists in it than the wormholes John Crichton navigates with such ease. It was spellbinding, witty, gut wrenching, tense, soul stirring and filled with emotion.
The story begins where the season 4 cliffhanger finished off and hurtles towards a climactic end that leaves one gasping for breath.
Henson et all have skillfully resolved many of the previous 4 season's plot line questions.
The cast was a cohesive unit that carried the story forward so smoothly and seamlessly that one could barely imagine that 25 months have passed since they last worked together.
Excellent portrayals of all the major characters as fans have come to expect of this show.
The CGIs and SFX were astounding and the musical score beautiful and a fitting backdrop for the story which ended in a satisfying way... sailing into the wide expanse of the universe with hope for a bright tomorrow.
Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars is a television epic mini-series produced with theater quality cinematography. It satiates the senses and satisfies the soul. If this show does not win multiple awards next year, it will be a grave injustice.
