Love All You Have Left (2017)
It is a wonderful story that gives hope.
I am grateful to the author for this story. I like it very much. The actors are good.
Sara Wolfkind is very expressive and talented actress.
The couple is very nice too. I would say, it is a wonderful ensemble at all. What they do is an example of a classical style of acting, which is great.
I like how the film director works with details. Love All You Have Leftooks, toys, flowers - all these are elements of real life, and it is very nice to see that there are no special effects in this film. We can see live human communication, sympathy and how people can support each other.
I also like the philosophical metaphors. They show the characters' inner world and help to understand the message of the story.
Wonderful work of the director of photography. Music is beautiful.
I would love to see more stories from the Matt Sivertson and his team.
All I Want (2017)
In my opinion Melissa Center is a very bright and artistic person.
This story is very sentimental. There are many couples dream about the relationship without crises, where everything is good and on time. Only mature, wise people think about the future, care about the future and know how to prevent future difficulties. Both heroes are good in busyness and can do a lot of amazing things, but family life is difficult for them. The message of the story is simple: say the truth to your partner, friends and relatives. Be honest with yourself and everything will be fine.
Acting is very good. I really like the cast at all. In my opinion Melissa Center is a very bright and artistic person.
I would recommend this movie to the family-oriented audience.
We Make Movies (2016)
It is a very funny story.
If you want to know more about entertainment industry this movie is for you. It doesn't matter if we tell about a small team of an indie film or high level famous Production Company this kind of situation could happened with every director or producer. The message is don't give up and show your story anyway. We make movie is a very funny and sarcastic story. I like the optimistic and positive atmosphere of this story. All of us need this kind of creative energy and sense of humour. Matt Tory was good as the lead actor, writer, producer, and director.
The Boatman (2015)
If you like thrillers this story is for you.
It is a mystical thriller about a strong man, human smuggling issues and suspenseful story. It is also about current social issues. I like the camera work and editing. I think it is beautiful. The lead actor, Oscar Torre, gives a convincing, excellent performance. The director did a very good job.
Somnium (2018)
Do not watch at bedtime!
This story is about a failed house robbery. It is quite unusual to see how the burglars and the victims changed places. It is a kind of message to bad guys: you never know where revenge will reach you and how it will look like. The story-line is twisted. Cinematography is very creative.
If you like horror film, I would recommend it to watch at Halloween.
Rumor from Ground Control (2018)
Excellent thriller.
This is a story about a very brave journalist who always looks for the truth. The main character is a brave, strong and talented person. Showing a certain person, the producer at the same time created an aggregated image reflecting complex character of a modern woman who wants to be a good journalist.
The message is nobody cares about the truth, because it costs too expensive. In my opinion, this movie shows a metaphor of modern mass media. Bosses are always protected and they don't care about photographers or journalists. They can change anyone anytime. They are their bosses, and journalists or other specialists are just expendable to them.
This movie is a combination of very well written script, excellent camera work and beautiful actors. Highly recommended.
Purdah (2018)
"We shouldn't ruin our children's dreams..."
"We shouldn't ruin our children's dreams", - said mom, and I agree for 100% with it. I think this is a good point for all parents who believe in their children's talent. This is a social-oriented documentary about a Muslim family that live in a very specific society.
My favourite episode when one of the sisters tells: I always worried that people can say this and that, but people don't care of my house! People don't pay my rent. People don't buy my groceries. People don't do anything for me. I have to." She changed as soon she started to work and support her family. It is a message for many people. Why these girls should wear traditional cloth and follow strange rules if it ruins their dreams, career and even life sometimes? In our days it is so strange to see how talented girl struggles for her career in the sport just because a girl who plays cricket is not acceptable in her society. The family is very strong and all members are very supportive and friendly. They inspire and help each other. The most important thing they are flexible and could change or overcome their stereotypes.
Wonderful music and amazing production and all.
Stadium Anthems (2018)
Artists have bills just like anyone, so they shouldn't work for free.
Stadium Anthems demonstrates the lack of talents, ideas, projects and funding to grow up new stars although many music compositions sound around us everywhere.
In our days there are many technologies to make new sounds, new types of instruments and different styles of music. However, there are not many incredible composers, wonderful performers or amazing songwriters. The majority of musicians go to survival job to pay their bills and can't focus on music. There are other artists who have enough money and could focus on music, but they are not creative enough to produce something incredible. The music industry is all about it. The funniest thing in this movie (for me) is the fact that producers and sponsors are not musicians. Such a typical situation: they are not experts at all. I saw it so many times in the music industry. They can't play or sing, they don't have the knowledge, and they choose musicians without a professional understanding of education, background, level of skills, creativity, repertoire and other important things. Their choice often based on personal preferences that are not related to music, talent, skills or lyrics. Partly it is a reason of "Me too" situation in show business. There are many naive young ladies choose this way to reach their goals and became a famous singer or songwriters. It is always based on illusions and breaching of ethics. It is not professional at all and I'm glad to see that film directors started to show it in their movies.
I really like the teacher of art. She is so nice person. She is smart, talented and generous person. She is educated and gifted; she knows people and cares about friendship. My favorite scene is when she tries different glasses and talk about age. It is a kind of metaphor of inner world of each of us. Choosing the right point of view helps to find a right solution, to see the good angle of any situation or to express your own feeling from the deepest of your "hearts" (she choose glasses that look like 2 hearts).
I like the style of directing, excellent DOP job, acting and music.
I like the message: musicians shouldn't work for free. Period.
Watch the movie and have fun.
