You would be shocked to know that this film was a total flop when it was released back in 1990...Dont know why but the film was decent...Anil Kapoor and Hema Malini...both talented actors do their best...Even story line is a good one...might sound bit similar to Beta....but then too its a good film....You surely wont hate this film...Hema jee does her best as villain...Anil kapoor plays a smart guy here...Madhuri doesn't match the standards of Hema and Anil here....Anupam kher and Satish Kaushik try to be comic relief...but they indeed irritate you rather than making you laugh...Shakti kapoor plays a good guy here...might sound strange seeing that out of 300 films he has done...250 films had him as villain...Music is good.......Over all a good film but surely not a masterpiece...A family movie.........

There's no doubt that Mithun DA was a great actor.....but his talent was wasted by visionless directors or b grade film makers...you cant find any logic in any of his films....you only get action...few crap songs...worst dialogues and few hot scenes....No doubt that his films were blockbusters in small places...low budget films are his trademark....He almost ran a parallel cinema in Madhya Pradesh....

Even this film has same formula that is bit twisted..here action takes place in jungle.......this film was disaster in Mumbai....don't know about other places.......worst movie ever you have seen...........Mithun is shown as animal lover....Even a legendary villain like Amjad Khan is totally wasted...no logic in this movie....

Mehmood was one of the best comedians we had during 60's and 70's....he attracted audience more than the lead actor...for example you can see Humjoli and you would be confused is Jeetendra really was lead star or it was Mehmood..All the lead actors of that time were envious and they made a clause in their contract that they wouldn't work in film if had Mehmood....This led to Mehmood's downfall....But a man like Mehmood who had already fought many problems in life like poverty,struggle didn't care about this....He went on to make his own films like Bombay to Goa....Kunwaara Baap...and this one (Saadhu Aur Shaitaan) Talking about the film....Mehmood plays a role of Taxi driver......whole film is conveyed with a taxi......what a film?????/excellent.....mind blowing comic timings By Mehmood and Kishore DA....don't miss this one.............
