28 Days Haunted (2022)
Loved it!
This show was a great idea! The 28 day cycle had a mental and physical breakdown on each investigator. As a "sensitive" and "psychic" (for lack of a better understood term) myself, with lots of abilities, who has felt the drain of a human or a spirit for long periods of time in my space, I can vouch it's not easy. This would be the case to anyone who is sensitive to energy. Even people without abilities would be worn after dealing with energies for that long. Kudos to each investigator in their handling of the situations at hand. Some might have taken a bit to acclimate to it and some had a harder time with it. I would have loved to have seen more of the evidence of each investigation. With them being there for 28 days there had to have been lots that was captured but not shown. This is understood with time constraints though.
All three locations were ripe with spirits. Some spirits were needing help and connection to have their stories told to move on and others are more of the dark variety in nature. I also liked that each team was able to sense the dark entities and recognize the effect it was having on each group and handle it accordingly. This whole show was an experiment based on Ed & Lorraine Warren's theory of the mental and physical toll being in a haunted location for 28 days takes on the human mind and body. It should be looked at as such and judged objectively in accordance without so many expectations going in.
I can see most of these reviews are written by people who don't believe and have never had an experience at all with the paranormal. Wouldn't know a spirit/ghost from a hole in the ground of their backyard. And that's ok but geez relax a little. Some of these investigators I know have expertise in the paranormal field and know what they are doing. This is why people actually need to watch a show and form your own thoughts on it and do so without the bias of negative skeptical cynical mindset going in. They call it unexplained for a reason. Relax!
Overall this was a great show! I have seen many shows make it that were dumpster fires. Some that are well known and watched religiously by millions. This show is far from that. It gave a small glimpse of what it is like as a sensitive to be in a positive and negative energetically charged space for a long period of time. It would take its toll on anyone investigator or not. I would like to add that I was glad not all of the groups provoked the dark entities that resided in those places until later in their stay. All in all I would and have told my friends about this. I would like to reiterate that I'd love to see more of the evidence next go around though. It is an awesome show! Well done!
YorkTown (2022)
Loved this documentary
Loved this documentary! A must see! It is filled with lots of footage, evidence and stories from paranormal groups that is consistent, not only with the history of the location, but the investigators personal experiences. Each of the experiences shared, visibly had a lasting impact on the person sharing. The sad story of suffering behind this location is no doubt the reason for the activity and the violence of the hauntings there. This is a riveting look inside the history and paranormal activity of this very active location that had me enthralled in this documentary from the very beginning. Great job guys!
Amityville: The Resurgence (2022)
Chills the whole way through!
This is a riveting documentary on a famously harrowing case. Amityville has kept many people in suspense since the beginning. In my opinion, the movies with added Hollywood hype and potential jump scares, while entertaining, takes away from the true story and details of this case. This documentary adds a fresh perspective that touches on questions asked by many, including myself, while maintaining respect for the all people involved and effected. I had chills throughout the whole thing. Awesome new paranormal evidence that is mixed with past evidence and factual details of the case! We might never have all the answers to this mystery but this documentary definitely adds validated new evidence to ponder. Well done guys! A must see!
Devil Down South (2021)
Powerful and creepy!
Wow! This was a powerful true story of the aftermath of dark magic and its effect on one family from start to finish. Some of these effects as you will see, still plague this family. The evidence presented as well as this brave young woman willing to tell her story to help others, gripped me from the start of this film. The evidence alone is extraordinary. This family lived a true horror movie, no Hollywood hype or effects needed! It is a rollercoaster ride from jump. Truly heart wrenching.
We as children and adolescents growing up make decisions that can sometimes shape and affect our lives for years to come. Truth and wisdom comes later, in retrospect, and sometimes the effects are seen and felt later in life and can be devastating on all fronts. Dark and inhuman entities are patient in their pursuits and will wait till a person is unguarded and open to attack as portrayed here. There is lots to take away from this film. Overall if you're are into the paranormal and wish to see something that is not only creepy but truthful from real people and very educational, I highly recommend this film. It will not disappoint.
Malefice: A True Story of a Demonic Haunting (2021)
Intense and creepy
One of the best documentaries I've seen! It keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was well put together and had a horror movie feel to it. I love the fact that all the prayers were presented as well! Great job guys!
