Case Toh Banta Hai (2022)
Waste of time
Don't know why they make such waste content even for OTT and then do so much of advertising. With so many good shows and series online, one should not waste their time on this.
Thalaivi (2021)
Boring and overdramatic
It was a 2.5 Hr movie but felt never-ending. The first half was too stretched trying to legitimise the relationship between a lady and her married man lover; the second half was in pieces trying to create the image of a super politician facing all the challenges a woman can face. Not sure how close was it to the real-life of Jayalalita, but the movie was disappointing.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
They ruined a great movie
The background about the monsters, the visuals, the plot everything is so good.. But then among the whole chaos where the world is getting destroyed, a lady who is willing to sacrifice a majority of the human population is putting her full efforts in saving her daughter and surprisingly is supported by the gov team, as if saving her will send the monsters back.
State of Siege: Temple Attack (2021)
Overhyped rating on IMDB
Its a pretty average movie which though is based on true events, is a full Bollywood Masala action movie. The plot of the movie and the acting by the cast is good, but too much of Bollywood cliche ruins it.
One common illogical trend which has emerged lately in Bollywood Army based movies, like what was a trend in 90s of having a poor hero in love with a rich heroine, is the officer who disobeys his seniors is considered heroic and everyone else in the team is a fool.
Laakhon Mein Ek (2017)
Depressing Season 1
Season 1 is very depressing and in the name of trying to be real, becomes unreal. Overhyped rating and better to avoid.
Haven't watched season 2.
Secrets of Sinauli: Discovery of the Century (2021)
Excellent documentary, but possibly influenced by political propaganda
It is undoubtedly an excellent show. The VFX are great and the narration by Manoj Bajpai is superb. The archaeological findings from Sinauli have been presented nicely. The only thing which puts doubts in my mind is that the archaeologists, without any firm reasons are strongly correlating the findings to Indian mythology. The inferences should generally be made based on facts, but it looks like people with existing beliefs trying to justify it with the findings. While the show is for entertainment, I hope the archaeologists are actually doing their research without any preconceived notions.
"India was a land of rich and advanced culture from an ancient time", this can be depicted from the findings. But are we the descendents of the same race or is it related to our mythological stories, can't be assumed from the findings at this stage.
I am not an expert in this area, but I have just shared my opinion.
