A Must watch for the over 40's
What a movie.
This title shows with quite brutal realism how getting old can affect a person mentally.
It also teaches that you should engage with peers close to your generational age as it shows how inappropriate and out of place it looks when older people "hang out" with a much younger crowd.
The movie follows Anna (quite an attractive woman for he age) who appears to be starting to go into her menopause years.
While invited by her friend to vacation in Tuscany, she still composes herself as a young woman, refusing to socialize with the people her age, but with a younger crowd. It is quite clearly shown how it looks and that she shouldn't be around them in such a social scene, even less developing feelings for a young man 20+ years younger than herself, being rejected (as she most likely would in the real world) and not coping with that rejection.
Brilliant movie that teaches us that life is not over as we head into the "boring" 50+ years.
Softness of Bodies (2018)
Narcissistic Millenials
Well, what can I say. I enjoyed and also felt horrified at the same time while watching this movie.
A perfect example as how materialistic some people can be and how they can have no shame, regret or even compassion for anyone but themselves.
Dasha Nekrasova plays Charlotte, an aspiring poet on a student visa in Germany.
This young woman appears to want everything she likes and does not think twice of the consequences as she goes on her way to get them. It brings a shock to the viewer as to how cold she can be to the people around her and will bring horror as you see the lengths she will go without caring for anyone but herself.
i sure hope this is not a representation of the current state of mind of this younger generation.
If you enjoy movies that explore the extreme of a personality disorder you will not have wasted your time with this one.
Butterfly (1981)
Forest nymph in the desert
This is 1982, Pia was just under 30 years of age and what a delightful woman to see on screen.
If you're a fan of seeing actresses perform roles that are quite sensual this will please. She performs the carefree character extremely well.
For the audience that enjoys seeing the actress barefoot you will be in for a treat, she is barefoot for most of the movie (which enhances her sensuality in this role) and she walks quite naturally barefoot in what appears to be harsh ground (a rare sight in the 80's).
This is would have fitted in quite well in the 70's and it is a captivating movie to watch, thanks to Pia you will be watching till the end.
All I Need (2016)
It has it's charms
Some people will like this and others won't. But, if you like seeing a lot of attractive women hardly dressed and barefoot, this is it. The director quite clearly shows a lot of close up barefoot shots, as some directors do at times. For some, they will enjoy every minute of this movie, all the actresses are gorgeous and very "girl next door". The story is also quite intriguing as it keeps you trying to figure out what is going on and how such beauty could have possibly ended iup in that room. These beauties are unreachable women for the majority of men and that in itself makes you wonder how they could have ended in that position. Worth the watch and enjoy the beauty.
