She's a writer, a Motion Picture and TV, producer and a [real] person. When I say real I mean unpretentious, and out going. She is also a single mother.
I recently met Ms. Mckie on line when I requested to be a fan of hers on FaceBook. I must confess that when I saw Sonia E. Mckie's photo...I thought she was a model, she looks that good.
When I received the acceptance to the request I was stunned to find out that she was actually an accomplished writer and producer.
I was even more intrigued as I read her posts and found that she was going through a rough patch of physical discomfort. Even though she was feeling- none to well-she was still positive and up beat. Accepting encouragement from her many fans, while encouraging others to stay focused and moving forward.
Though Ms. Mckie is a woman of color, her attitude toward life; is not of color, she represents humanity at its most industrious, and projects a cosmopolitan persona, wrapped in humility. A hard combination to pull off but she does it. She can hold her own with any of the guys but she does not challenge manhood.
Her basic philosophy is that men and women both have a God given purpose for being here. Neither is more capable than the other, but when they come together, and work for each others happiness they complete Gods, dream of life [animated] beyond the angels.
Also she comes across as a female whos view of the spectrum of male female relations, supports the fact that there is a harmony that exists; between the two when respect for each other talents and boundaries is present.
She currently has her hands in more than a few projects one such project is [SHAKE] The film.

Shes also finishing up a feature film shes been working on; as well as...other literary pursuits. You can follow Ms. Sonia Everett Mckie, on face book. Shes not just fluff and pretense shes the real deal; a talented & beautiful-21st century woman.
If you wan to be righteously entertained watch the Flixchicks, Sonia & Ursula they are off the hook funny, they also call a good post action, Fifth Quarter, football game.

The Watermelon Heist (2003)
Hilarious, Interesting and Entertaining!!!! Great...
This movie was funny. It was the kind of African Black movie that I wasn't ashamed to say I watched. It was well put together from the beginning with the narration to the end. I thought it was brilliant how some of the dialog was used in a different context as to the way it is commonly used. The casting was great. The quality of the film all the way to the color and sound was very professionally done. I have to give props to the makers of this film.
I've seen a lot of African Black quote on quote films that made me offended or ashamed, but I must say "THIS FILM DID NOT" even the edgy parts was done tasteful and cleaver.
Props to K.C. Amos and the whole production team and cast.
