Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011)
"It all ends" well
This movie could not do any better, it ended the Harry Potter series with a bang. It is a good balance from the first part of The Deathly Hallows. The first part was more of a drama, while part two was action packed left and right. This may be my favorite movie of the series, though all of them are equally amazing. I have read the books, and there are definitely major changes in the movie, but I find they fit perfectly well with the story, even if it isn't the original plot. Even for those who haven't read the books (why wouldn't you?!), it is equally enjoyable. This movie, along with the rest in the series, will be loved for years and years to come.
Thor (2011)
My heart was racing from start to finish
I was excited to see Thor since the first trailer had come out. During that time, I kind of prepare myself for failure if I have been anticipating for a movie once I see trailers that look suspenseful. Take the movie Buried for example. I couldn't wait for that movie, but I was more than disappointed with it. The worst movie I had ever seen. With Thor, though, I was in suspense from start to finish. My eyes were wide open the entire time. I love how they tie some of the plot in with stuff from other movies, such as in Iron Man 2. If you sat through the credits, you saw the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent with the hammer. I recognized that in this movie. Also, if you listen, there is a slight mention of the Hulk. This is one of my favorite movies. I rate this movie up there with Inception and Black Swan.
Buried (2010)
Pointless beyond belief
For the first 20 minutes of the movie, we just see they guy trying to find out his situation! Then, all he does is make phone calls, groans, and, oh, lets stick a snake in there just give it some action and make him cut his finger off. What the heck! I was so excited when i saw the trailer, but so disappointed. There was other useful things i could've done with my hour and a half instead of watching this pointless film. The only reason i kept watching is to see if the guy would eventually get out, and guess what...he doesn't! The movie was supposed to be a thriller. A thriller is something that is supposed to leave people on the edge of their seats and breathless until the end. Where was the thrill in this movie?!?! Totally pointless beyond belief.
