Tees Maar Khan (2010)
Bad Days of Akki continues
Here comes the worst film of the year. I am not finding any words to criticize this movie as there is nothing to write about. Here is some reasons why I did not liked the movie...
Aksay Kumar: exhibition of unbearable over-acting. I am fond of his acting but do not know what happened to him after Singh is King.
Katrina: nothing she has in the film except one song. This is not her fault; she had nothing to do in the movie.
Aksay/Katrina: The film maker did not use their chemistry. They hardly had any romantic-scene. As said earlier Katrina had nothing to do in the movie even where Aksay is there.
Direction: Well, let's not think about it at all. I do not know how she can make such movie. From her two earlier movies it seems she at least know what most people like. At lease I liked Om Shanti Om not because of SRK but for the making of the film.
Akshay Khanna: tried his best Story: Nothing Dialogues and Punches: Golmaal-3 also did not have any story but it had a good number of gigs and punches which make that movie such hit. But this movie does not have anything like that. The only interesting dialogues you can get which you already got from the trailers.
Music: Not so good.
Choreography: Not so good.
Those who are thinking of watching the movie be warned. It is better to spend the money anywhere else.
Golmaal 3 (2010)
You will like what you hate to like
Most of us when entering into a movie hall expect a movie to have at least a story which you can tell your friend/family for at least 2-3 minute. If not, you say it is a bad film. But there are a bunch of bollywood movies where you can not give that same conclusion. Golmaal-3 is exactly that. I did not liked the first one, have not seen the second, went to see the third as it does not cost me anything(I have subscription of a cinema chain which allows me to see any movie). But when got out the theater I realize it would not be hard to spend some money to this movie if I had to.
As I say the movie do not have any plot so when you are watching it, you can seat-back and enjoy every little gigs/kicks without stressing your brain and when you get out of the theater you will be laughing, relaxed and may be expect the Golmaal-4(:)).
Looking into the technical details this movie do not have much to say about music (which in my opinion was better in part 1 and 2). The acting is very good from all of the characters, especially Aajay Devgan and Mithun. It is surprising to see Mithun with his image these days in TV can do this type of circustic role, which in fact is done terribly well by him. Also a good thing is that Kareena has a good contribution to the movie as she got a good amount of thing to do though out the movie. Tushar as usual terrific with his acts. The film is full of jokes, gigs and entertaining stuffs which you should enjoy if you do not have any legacy to be intellectual all the time.Oh, I almost forgot to mention Johny Lever for this Gazhni like act.
Overall if you are stressed with all your work thought the week you must watch this movie at the weekend. Last but not the least I can not resist myself from quoting a dialog from it... "Shishe ke gharme rahne wale basement me nahaya kartein hai" -- Mithun (The rating should exactly be 6.5 but IMDb does not allow that so...)
Dabangg (2010)
In an era of pasta,pizza,biriyani... this is a perfect home made curry
We have seen 3 idiots, we saw LSD, wake-up Sid, Once upon a time in Mumbai. Everyone is trying to be off the track and make a point, few wants to make a movie which touches the masses. Here comes Dabangg with they called the Last Action Hero. When I say mass it includes all rural, urban India and overseas. I saw the movie in a cinema hall in London and it was a full house.I personally never liked those recent Salman films but it enjoyed every bit of this one. There is no doubt that this will be a block blaster after all of those miserable flops films(Kites, Raavan, Khatta Meetha etc.).
The back bone of the movie is obviously Salman but can't deny the credit of all the dialogs. The movie is full of those funny words and actions.Music is good(with a hint of Omkara), so as background score perfectly defining every mood. Acting from every one else is also good.Salman is alone holding the baton of action hero where no one else is up to that mark in recent times. As expected dance and action also enjoyable. There is an item number too from Malaika Arora.
In short a perfect bollywood-style movie worth watching. Entertainment guaranteed.
We Are Family (2010)
Do not see it if you want entertainment
I went to see the movie mainly because I saw few reviews saying it is a entertaining movie. But take my words 'It is not entertaining at all except one song(lets rock)'. Personally I did not liked a movie having so much of centiment through-out the movie but if you are seeing the movie with your family you may like it.First half is good but it was unbearable for me in the second half. Here is some good and bad things about it...
good: 1. You should take your kids to see the movie as there are three beautiful kids in the movie who in actual best part of it. 2. Cinematography in Bollywood standard is quite good. 3. If you liked 'Kabhi Albida na Kahena' you may like it. 4. As expected Kajol, Kareena, Arjun done their job, specially Arjut Rampal lifted his acting up one level.
bad: 1. Does not do what a film should do-take the viewers fully into the story. I heard few people beside me laughing in a very emotional moment. 2. Music is so so. 3. No entertainment as such. 4. Could have been better if the duration bit short.
