What the Health (2017)
Sugar association revenge.
This documentary brought out some truth about pesticides and how it affects human health, which was good to see. We do need to be careful and more cautious of how are meats are prepared. HOWEVER, like many have pointed out, this is a very bias documentary that almost makes you think the Sugar Association got their revenge. There is hardly any scientific proof, just talking heads. Just their statements alone on carbohydrates and sugar raised red flags. It just seems as if there isn't enough data to support the documentary's stance.
Cruel Summer (2016)

I'll be straight with you. From a technical aspect, the film crew did a very good job. As far as The writing, The setup is quite unclear and feels forced. om from a human with emotions aspect, I will never watch this film again due to the graphic nature. I cried. A character with a mental disability is beat to death. I cannot believe I even finished this film. Prayers for the real life family.
The Thinning (2016)
You don't want to fail this test.
I really enjoyed it. The planet is running out of resources and the government has developed this method of "Thinning" out the population by administering a test to students each year until graduation. The film displays a lot of fear. Fear among fellow students who are worried about failing and perspectives from other characters such as teachers and guards who experience this event every year. While there are some scenes where you are questioning the authenticity, I will remind you this is a movie. It's great because:
The story line flowed well and the film has plenty of suspense scenes.
The cinematography is well done.
The characters are likable (most). This film has the potential to spin off a couple sequels. Check it out.
