Constellation: Paul Is Dead (2024)
Who pushed the button?
That is the only question I have left after this episode.
Very, very decent work by the writers in stitching two parallel worlds with quite awesome little overspills of elements/people/sounds from one to the other. The trick is known and not surprising, but when it's executed the way they did it in this episode it's a pleasure to watch.
But there is one thing that doesn't make sense. The unlocking of the decoupling mechanism of the Soyuz-1. That last bolt that had to be fixed from the station. Not possible in any of the worlds.
In Jo's universe she's in the shuttle, dead Paul with her, parallel world Paul is also in the shuttle and her parallel world dead body floats in the ISS.
In Paul's universe he's in the shuttle, dead Jo floats in the ISS, parallel world dead Paul is in the shuttle and parallel world Jo is in the shuttle.
Are we to assume that Jo's dead body accidentally pushed a required button sequence in both worlds? X - Doubt.
Shôgun: Tomorrow Is Tomorrow (2024)
Disappointing Third
It is unfortunate that the writers couldn't keep the style and the premise further than two episodes. Because this one feels like from another show.
Our heroes get involved in unsurvivable ambush (yet survive). Manage to get away from it and board their boats before pursuers catch them (yet the whole village had time to make a blockade in open waters). Indulge in a fast & furious style ship race.
So basically plot armor was in every scene, ruining any surprise and lowering the intrigue.
And I do believe that this episode could've been directed differently with different atmosphere, pace and therefore effect. This one felt cheap.
For All Mankind: Have a Nice Sol (2023)
May this season be the last
Yeah, this season is gonna be bad. The OG cast is almost gone, and who's left are just bad actors playing even worse characters. Like who really cares about Aleida's storyline? She acts like an entitled person, has no respect to those in charge, walks off whenever she feels like it - why am I supposed to when slightly care about her?
Or Ed's daughter? That drunk performance is so cringe. Had to fast forward to the next scene.
The last thing that grinds my gears in this episode is the Moscow sequence. They got all the props correct down to the coffee tin she uses. Kudos to that. But the way they show the city and its people is so-o-o-o cliche and stereotypical. Could've done a lot better if they weren't so hard on pushing the agenda.

This show is written by ChatGPT
It's as if someone tried entering a prompt which sounded something like 'make a mystery story about a modern diverse group of people with elements from Lost' and the AI has created a mashup of everything it thinks should make a mystery.
The amount of plot holes this show has amassed is enormous. Character stories and lines are being forgotten and then resurfaced several episodes after. There's a guy who several weeks later still yells at people. Another one who spends his days sitting on top of the bus. A kid with stick that he walks with even at home. And a lot of other 'distinct' characters. They are all kinda relatable but they just don't work as a group. The immersion stops as soon as they start to interact with each other. It just feels wrong.
I also remember when in previous episodes they hurried to get inside at the first sense of the evening. In this episode? They just couldn't care less. This inconsistency just throws off. And it applies to almost every aspect of the show.
In other words. Great potential, completely wasted.

End of common sense
Oh. My. God.
How in the world this exists. This pure borderline nonsense. This absolutely stinking pile of garbage that we should except as a mystery show. Never have I ever felt so enraged with the stupidness happening at every freaking turn. There is no script, there are no believable characters, their is no idea - it's as if it was written in ChatGPT - just words and actions mixed together that look familiar up close but from a perspective don't make any sense.
By the way the freaking bus arrived five episodes ago. The thing that could've turned this show upside down, make our jaws drop, defeat all expectations. But as of now it did nothing special.
This show is an epic monument to absurdness.

After a very intriguing pilot in a matter of four (actually three but I was giving it a chance of a doubt) episodes this show turned into a flop. There is no character to connect to. I don't pity anyone in this show and don't really care whether they survive or not. They all make stupid actions and decisions, act unrealistic of people stuck in their situation. They drag and drag and drag their hopeless lines, their pathetic being/acting.
I don't 'believe' in the story nor the narrative and the show doesn't even try to make me do so. It's not a mystery, it's just garbage.
I actually regret finding this show. I hope you never make the same mistake.

I actually regret finding this show, and if not for my principle of always finishing what I've started watching, I'd drop it in a heartbeat.
See: The House of Enlightenment (2022)
Absurdity of immense proportions
Here's a trick question. You sit in a building with a warehouse full of bombs and have sighted people on your side with guns, and you're being attacked by a group of blind sword-wielding blind soldiers. What would you do? If you said, "Well gee, Papa, shall we jolly good bomb the heck outta them?" I wouldn't blame. At the very least, it means you've got some common sense and critical thinking. But you know who's got none of it? Show runners and scriptwriters of this clown circus show known as See.
Oh yeah, and that Sibeth actress is obviously having an affair with someone from the writers staff. Her character's plot armor of unseen proportions is just beyond reasonable. At this point, if Haniwa was to shoot her at point-blank range, I wouldn't be surprised to see her morphing back like some T-1000 terminator. She's definitely living through some kinda Groundhog Day. Deserves a spin-off of its own, if you ask me.

Are you having a laugh?
This episode will be remembered for the moment where two dudes can't disarm a blind lady although one of them can see. Really? That Kofun guy is almost inches away and he still can't do anything. Really?
This show is absurdly badly thought through. They've created a universe with blind people and some folks who can see and they don't use this at all. Instead for the third year in a row we watch blind people chet-cheting each other, walking funny, stareing at the void and doing stupid things.
If you're wondering why I'm still watching this garbage when instead of whining I can just quit, well, I'm just watching Tamacti Jun. Love the actor, immensely respect him for Rudy in Dexter. That's all. See - the show itself - is dead to me at this point.
Invasion: Hope (2021)
And The Most Boring Series award goes to...
...Invasion.
I'm just fast forwarding this show now. Got me excited with first episodes, but the hot garbage it turned into is just unwatchable.
Kabul scene is terrible.
Japanese lesbian rebel girl storyline is terrible.
Dysfunctional family is terrible.
School kids are annoying.
I hope aliens win and the show just ends.
Invasion: Home Invasion (2021)
Unwatchable
1. So aliens can wipe out a heavily armed patrol in Humvees but struggle with a scared lady in an SUV?
2. Instead of staying quiet in the attic for 35 minutes, people decide to wander through the house. Apparently that's the most logical thing to do.
3. Husband got knocked down by the alien, but somehow survives. Weird. Especially after the Humvee squad situation.
I have to confess. I'm watching this show with my cursor hovering over skip 30 seconds button. It's THAT bad.
Invasion: Orion (2021)
A new low for Apple and television as a whole
First, a high praise should be given to the actors. They act out the script very well and quite believable. But that's where the good things end, 'cause then comes the script itself. And it's so overly clichéd. I'm not going to repeat what everyone has already said, I wholeheartedly agree with all those comments. The lack of fresh ideas is just shocking considering the huge budget that was spent on this show.
In fact, this show reminds me of another Apple's creation, See. It too has had a great potential and an intriguing premise but turned out to be a slow, boring and mindless flop.
See: Rock-a-Bye (2021)
About Wren
It's good that the writers decided to include a less known trick to save yourself from drowning. Obviously, when in water, drown to the very bottom and then simply bounce off of it.
This show is such a joke on all things logical.
See: The Queen's Speech (2021)
Meh...
Nope, nope, nope, and once again nope.
One valedictorian speech does not save a season full of empty dialogs and senseless actions. It's a great moment on its own, but in the light of the whole series it's just a little drop.
Once again, half of the episode is happening in the darkness. Aren't they tired of this gimmick? I get it, they don't see, we don't see, it kinda puts us in their shoes, but this got really annoying a good number of episodes ago.
I really want to like this show, I do. Great cast justifies lots of things, but it's such a bore as a whole. Meh...
See: The Truth About Unicorns (2021)
Someone does something in the darkness for one hour
At some point while watching this episode, I actually wondered whether my TV set was on. Turns out it was on. But honestly I could've saved some electricity and kept it off. Wouldn't make any difference whatsoever.
As for the story itself, it's the same boring talks between unlikable characters making stupid decisions. Well deserved one star.
The highlight (oh, what a word) of the episode was the sight of a downed helicopter on the trail. And that speaks volumes.
See: The Dinner Party (2021)
Big budget + low effort = See
This is one of the most frustrating series I've ever watched. With each episode it's getting harder and harder to justify why I'm losing my time following it.
Dark and unwatchable, boring and slow-paced series. The original idea was cool when introduced, but later just keeps bringing this show down with, oh so many, conflicting things. Blind people who wear clothes, have hairstyles, build in straight lines, overpower sighted people who are dumb enough not to find any advantage in having a vision.
Yeah, and then there is the queen. Straight out of Ken Follett's Pillars books - to be hated throughout the whole story, irritating viewers with each page/script turn, only to die in the very last paragraph/minute. This makes the writers look weak, as it appears that they don't have any other ideas. Just the same old worn out tropes.
Cancel it.
Criminal: UK: Sandeep (2020)
Best episode of the whole series
That's how you end a season of one of the greatest TV shows. With an episode that turns up the play to eleven. Dark, unexpected and masterfully delivered. This is Oscar-worthy material.
Criminal: UK (2019)
Criminal: UK is incredible. A masterpiece of storytelling.
I'm completely mesmerised with this show. The flow, the ambience, the cinematography, the red frame, the *high-pitched tone*, the mirror, the subtle theme that plays out the closing credits. It gives me chills just thinking about it right now. Every episode is a one hour 'Shakespearean' stage play, a deep dive into the unknown, a puzzle that slowly reveals human nature.
This show to me is a biggest surprise of recent years. I've watched all the episodes (and other countries) almost in one sitting. I'm so overwhelmed with enjoyment that I'm been rewatching some episodes several times.
The most underrated show. Wish there was more and more of it.
Fear Street: 1994 (2021)
Your standard Netflix movie
It's kinda sad that the movie industry evolved into this. I can't name a single decent title that came out recently that didn't suck. They all have the same elements: somewhat cool cast, awesome cinematography, top-notch production levels and very lackluster scripts. The very same thing happened here.
Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer were gripping thrillers that kept you on the edge of the seat. Fear Street doesn't come even close. It starts as a joke and continues as an even worse one. Cliches all around. Unnecessary 90's bangers for every scene. Over-caricatured characters. Illogical actions and consequences. And so on.
It actually says a lot about the movie when you can immediately think of many bad things in it, but it's hard to remember anything good.
Rick and Morty: Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort (2021)
Rick and Morty's winning formula
It's what the writers know how to do best - create Looper/Inception-esque episodes with complicated memory jumping timelines and stories. Best of its kind. A pure joy to watch.
Rick and Morty: Amortycan Grickfitti (2021)
Taking small steps but in the right direction
This episode is just ok, but still miles better than last week's disaster. Yeah, jokes are not punchy enough and the formula of lame Jerry feels worn out, but I'll take it.
Till Death (2021)
What is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more
Gone in 90 minutes. Common sense, that is.
I dare say it kicked off pretty good. It even got better with quite good-looking camera work. I like that kinda stuff. Then the slow pace suddenly got shifted up a gear with the first main twist. And, man, at this point It started to look very promising!
But suddenly, just when the bad guys showed up and the suspense was at its peak, the writers decided that, screw it, this movie is going to be a comedy. And it's not just that Megan Fox got ninja abilities like dragging a body absolutely silently, chopping hands off, also silently, getting invisible in a snow, leaving tracks that no one seems to notice. It's the combination of those things with the absolute stupidity of the bad guys. And boy are they dumb. On a scale of 1 to 10, they are Home Alone level dumb. The last straw for me was the scene when the main villain struggles with dragging a body while holding a knife in his mouth. Yep, it's that good.
And after that, the cherry on top of it all, we take another look at ninja Megan's Rocky moment. *sighs* Did we really need it?
Overall, a decent movie. Megan Fox plays her character really well and quite believable. As you've noticed, I'm giving it a 6 which in my books is not bad at all.
Rick and Morty: Rickdependence Spray (2021)
Worst R&M episode ever
Utter disaster. Should've been axed as an idea and never made into an episode. Damages the whole legacy of the show.
Resident Alien (2021)
Doesn't live up to its hype
Who are all these people giving this show a 10?
I'm half into the second episode and I can't watch it any longer. The whole comedy thing is completely lost on me. The bar is set so low that it's just surprising to see how does this show even exist in parallel with all the other great content available on TV today.
