Maestro (2022)
Unoriginal dishonest series.
It misses all the key ingredients, a good original scrip, inspiration, creativity and honesty! It has all been ripped from other art work, placed into a blender then a microwave and severed right back to you. I could hardly watch the first episode without laughing. The narrator style approach that displays a cheap script is good enough to keep teenage kids or desperate housewives entertained for a period of time enough.
This is an expensive produce for Greek standards.
I would recommend this tv show if you like soap opera dramas, cheesy dialogues and do not like movies and the art of cinema in general, you would feel insulted otherwise.
Zougla (1996)
Blackmalling or journalism? A chronicle of sadness and decay
This journalist has blackmailed alot of honest professionals back in the 90"s. Makis was one of the first pionners of pseudo journalism in Greece. This show was a piece of a living decay. Due to his blackmalling technics the journalist gained fastes pace wealth and recognition in Greece but this did not end well when he black mailed one of the Elite in Greece. The result was a bad ending for Makis.
Adults in the Room (2019)
Below Average Political Thriller
Bad Aesthetics, mediocre acting and the directing was inconsistent with really bad, pointless cuts. The lighting and the filters were out of place and did not match with the script and the story telling.
All these facts do not add with the budget of the movie or the expectations of the production. If you want to waste a bit of your time you can watch this.
Eighth Grade (2018)
This movie is a Masterpiece for the American audience.
Who can relate to a young girls' drama, when there is no drama or arc.
There was a time when growing up had a lot more to tell than, a complex emotional journey with a lot to tell.
The shallow sensitivity and the big "theme" that everyone wants to be special and different, is pictured a lot.
The only thing that made the protagonist special is that she had a lot of problems without actually having a problem and maybe a broken iphone.
The reason I am writing this review is that I keep wondering, how this movie can be considered as a Masterpiece when the culture of this so-called new generation has no philosophic background and just float behind a screen on a 24-7 basis.
As the years pass by, the American Cinema has less and less to offer, makes me wonder if humans over there have become empty shells.
The Road (2009)
humanity dies as long nature cries
Desperation ,fear, bitterness, not because of the acting or the script that led nowhere but because this is the most realistic ending for the known humanity. Yes,people could breath in the movie because the 90% of the oxygen generates from the sea and NOT from the terrestrial plant life as many of you think. Also insects are the most resistant species towards environmental changes,so it is reasonable that insects and humans(cause of food reserves)where the ones to still survive. Our planet has faced several times this environmental change that the movie showed us,to most of you known as the ice age.Cannibalism made it even more real,if you have done your homework you would see this movie as a true case scenario about the future, struggle for survival, cannibalism, animal instincts, environmental death.Do not compare it with other sci-fi post apocalyptic movies, there is no fiction in the world you see in this movie, just nature.
