Bad Girls Dormitory (1986)
Hose Me Down
I am female and I liked this film, it was one of those that my parents rented out and hid in the usual place at the back of the wardrobe, my best mate and I found it one day when rummaging. 80's cheesy music is my thing, and I can't get the 'Hose Me Down' song out of my head. PLease put it on a CD, it isn't on any Man Parrish CDs. If anyone does know of a CD or vinyl with this track on, please put me out of my misery and let me know where I can get my grubby mitts on it. Please do a soundtrack for this film.
It goes something like this; "HOw much love is gonna bring you round, I'm heating up so won't you hose me down....just come to me and don't you make a sound...the time is right to fool around so hose me down".
Thats about all I can remember
Der Formel Eins Film (1985)
80's Cheese, just the way I like it.
I saw this movie ages ago when I left the VCR running when I was recording another film. This gem of movie was recorded by accident. It then took me years to track it down. Its an 80's feel good movie.
This is a true 80's movie. If you are a child of the 80's you will appreciate this movie and enjoy it. Its got Meatloaf, Falco and Limahl in it, for heavens sake. Contrary to the previous review, it does have a plot, flimsy though it may be; its still a plot.
So the jokes are cheesy, so what, so were the 80's, thats its charm. 'Meatloaf', 'Limahl', 'Falco' and 'Die Toten Hosen' all in the same film, how often does that happen?
Rock me Amadeus!
ABC Afterschool Specials: The Incredible, Indelible, Magical Physical, Mystery Trip (1973)
Hey, I have this little rarity on video.
If anyone is interested I have this animated feature on original video. I am about to list it one the UK ebay site. I find the Follow Me song a bit annoying, but yet I couldn't get it out of my head after watching this blast from the past. There are other episodes in this series, I haven't got any of the others though.
Check out my listing. I haven't seen it anywhere else. I know that it is definitely NOT available on DVD. The video I have is a UK PAL format. This means it will not play on a standard American VCR, as they are NTSC. UK vcrs play all formats, so this is something to check out before purchasing videos from the UK. Videos in different countries have different playing formats.
To Die For (1988)
Bendan Hughes is 'To Die For'
What a gem of a movie, so good that they made a sequel.
The film starts off really good with a nasty monster who eats a few people and a party where the 2 main characters first set eyes on each other.
Bendan Hughes plays the eccentric Vlad, a bit of an inkling there to who this character is, who has moved into town and uses the services of a particular real estate agent to find him a house.
Hell, we've all seen vampire movies, we know the format.
The movie is watchable, but the actors' performances are very wooden and they seem as they don't want to be in this film, but may be that's just all part of the decadent ambiance.
Didn't like the ending, but there is a sequel, must track it down.
When I watched the film I thought Brendan Hughes didn't really fit the part. Later on, I couldn't stop thinking about him, he sort of exudes an eerie sensuality, so maybe he was right for the part.
BRENDAN HUGHES Last seen in 'Hitler - the rise of evil' as Lt. Guffman.
Where is he now?
