Peers XVII: What We Worry About (2011)
High school age student production, they nail it!
Considering that all aspects of this production were the efforts of high school students what an outstanding effort. Storyline made you think, the acting was extremely good from top to bottom. Following the lead character, Brian, was very interesting. The actor did a fabulous job! Her took the character very skillfully through his metamorphosis. Each of the other young actors seem to find the right timing and the right focus for their roles. camera work was brought a good look that helped to evolve the story. Lighting and sound was the weakest element. But, given the age of the crew actually pretty good. The direction was spot on, each actor seem to connect to the director and gave a consistent performance. Locations seemed to be a little off, not quite right for the scene in some cases.
Peers XVI: Through Their Eyes (2010)
Great job!
A great mix of dramatic elements and documentary material about dating and domestic violence. The acting was very credible. In particular the actress, Angelina Rivera and the young male actor Stephen Velichko. The interviews were very heartfelt and informative. Was not aware of how pervasive a problem domestic violence was. The director of My Sister's Place was such compelling interview. What was most revealing was the cycle of violence one sees from one generation to another. The two women from "Break The Cycle" were in particular very informative. The edits from drama to documentary were well conceived. The camera work was very contemporary and the lighting in the interviews was quite well done.
