Just Mercy (2019)
Wow
What an emotional rollercoaster of a movie.
I thouroughly enjoyed this movie from start to finsh. The pace of the movie suited the scenario, the acting was nothing but brilliant.
The terrible injustice of the legal system in the states is shocking and this movie showed how easy it is to give life sentences and to execute innocent people with virtually no evidence against them, just hear say or pressure from the authorities.
Oscar winning film and performance.
Ad Astra (2019)
Just as good second time round
I watched this when it was on at the cinema. Loved it. The scenes, the storyline, the whole concept and especially Brad Pitt at his best again. I am not one to strip a film to bits and knit pick at things that really do not matter.
A fabulous film from start to finish.
The BFG (2016)
It had everything
I took my children to see this when it came out and I left saying 'wow, what a film'. It was very funny, great storyline, great scenes, fabulous characters and most of all...it was very magical.
Brilliant.
Hickok (2017)
Amateurish
I was looking forward to seeing this and well well well, what a huge let down.
I really do not understand why the movie makers decided that this should see the light of day. It was bloody awful.
The story line was so bad, the scenes unrealistic and worst of all.....the acting. The acting is so wooden, there is no emotion from any of the cast.
One of the worst westerns i have ever seen
Alien: Covenant (2017)
Marvelous follow on
I'm ignoring the typical 'Alien franchise experts'. After seeing the movie on release day i was simply in awe of the story and the way the film was made.
Beautiful scenes, acting was pretty good, storyline and plot adding to the storyline of Prometheus and ending good enough for the third stint.
Loved it.
Cruel Summer (2016)
Bullying at its worst
I gave this film a 9 due to sentimental reasons. As a parent of an autistic child, this film brought out the cruelty of human beings and also the vulnerability.
The acting by the three stooges at times was a bit meh, but the acting of Danny was spot on.
I hope the film shows awareness towards people who are a bit different. Autism isn't a disease.
The film also shows those individuals as bullies. This is reality folks.
A short film which shows the good and bad in people.
