The Night Agent (2023)
Hyberbolic
It has moments that give me hope, such as the charismatic co-leading Gabriel Basso. But too many amateur, shallow spots poke holes in those dreams.
Someone storms out of a room to leave the conversation, and unexplainably comes back into the room asking what's going on. Non-sensical leaps to further the plot and it's only episode 2.
The show lacks depth and nuance, opting instead to play on a potentially good plot with embarrassingly obvious and hyperbolic emotions I'd expect on a 3rd rate remake of Buffy.
I'll watch one more episode to be sure as I'm only 1 in, but the lapses are too egregious to leave me feeling anything but insulted and disappointed.
Blindness (2008)
Too illogical to tolerate
I had to stop half way through at the multitudes of illogical decisions. Not just the lack of info, but SPOILER ALERT why wouldn't they kill the asshole instead of submitting?? Ridiculous.
Grand Army (2020)
Most realistic show in a long time
Grand Army is as genuine as tv comes. The acting is fantastic from the multiple main characters to the sidebar relatives and classmates. Lots of drama for sure, all handled with finesse, depth, and soul.
Wonderland (2013)
Enjoy the show, why all white people?
Def a good show, but I'm almost into season 2 and am pretty sure there have been zero people of color.
Young Sheldon (2017)
Played out
The reason people don't like this show is because the atmosphere is extremely corny. The comedy style and flow is overused and played out. Source, my 75 year old goofy father thinks it's amazing.
The Proposal (2018)
Absurd
In one show including virtually no conversation, people acted as if this were real, including the mom crying at the end. Ridiculous.
