Oi ching ku see (2009)
Great Simple Love Story
This movie is a love story. There isn't much more to tell. But i don't want spoilers here. For those who seek more than a simple, beautiful teary-eyed love story, than this movie isn't for you.
I loved this movie for it's simplicity, for it's simple touch. Something more wonderful about it. It's very realistic and the acting is quite amazing.
It has beautiful songs, the ending is heartbreaking, but again, it has it's special simplicity that makes it feel so original and fresh.
Most of you will probably identify yourselves with this story, because it has a common love type story. Though, the way the movie was build, the way the acting was, made the story seem so powerful in it's own accord.
If you are a big fan of love stories and if you don't need sex scenes or other over the top stuff that many people put into a love story just to try and make it realistic(which in my opinion,is quite the contrary)then watch this.
I give this movie a solid 9.
Secretary (2002)
One Of The Best Movies Ever
This movie is a real masterpiece. Has two great talents in it, James Spader and Maggie gyllenhaal, who opened my eyes, and now i see she IS a wonderful actress. This is a very romantic movie and very sad, with some scenes that might shock us in some way. specially for the more sensitive ones.
It's a story about a young woman, Lee Holloway, that has many emotional problems, provocated by her troubling father, who drinks a lot, making her life and of her mother miserable. Trying to forget all her problems, she searches for a job in a newspaper, and that's when she sees the job for SECRETARY. She meets her boss, Edward Grey(James Spader)who is a very lonely man, also with many problems well hidden.
The chemistry between them was so strong that they created a strange relationship between spanks, and other strange methods of pleasure in the sadist-masoquist way.
Lee stops mutilating herself, because he told her not to. Lee stops going back home from work with her mother, because he told her not to. And then he turns out to be some sort of escape from her painful and boring life, to a tunnel full of light and a love so strong, yet to be explored. The movie also has a very good soundtrack, specially the main title, when the movie begins, and the final song(or one of the lasts)Lizzie West - chariots rise.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 10 out of 10
