Completely Disappointing
30 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The story of teenage lust for a teacher has been done so many times, but this almost had potential to be more interesting and exciting. At times, it felt like it was going to finally start, but then it went flat (it was like trying to get an engine started, but just when you think it starts, it goes dead). It was hard to truly like any of the characters. For an erotic story to be provocative and engaging, it should at least have some type of physical appeal, but this one missed that completely.

Talk about a very unsatisfying end! When Cairo gets rejected after promoting her fantasy as reality, then encounters him on the steps, then they just end it....my only reaction was, 'that's it?' Needless to say, this was a waste of time.

Well Done
25 February 2024
I discovered this brilliantly written and acted series just recently (2024). The twists and turns of lies, infidelity, and corruption at the highest levels reflects the state of the world today. I was watching with hopes of seeing it all culminate to a satisfying ending. Imagine my disappointment when it abruptly ends after only 10 episodes, with a cliffhanger and a ton of loose ends. I'm not sure why this series was canceled and left unfinished, but it would be worth reviving (in my opinion). It's hard to find good plots and well-developed characters, not to mention the talented actors. I'd love to see Amy Huberman (and all the others) back in this role of a better character.

A Gem
26 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Such a perfectly executed and charming series. The characters of Scarlet and William, including Nash are engaging and entertaining. They couldn't have chosen better actors for the roles. I love the witty banter and the sexual tension that builds between Scarlet and William. The cases that get solved are fun, and seeing the history from that time (how women weren't taken seriously and the newness of the telephone) is also fun to see.

I love season 4 showing how how William and Scarlet's relationship started, which highlights why they have such deep love for each other. It was well worth the wait to finally see William tell Scarlet he loves her (rather frustrating, though, to make him leave right after). I can only presume there will be a season 5 so we can see their reunion, and finally see them be together.

I hope this show renews for several more seasons. Cheers to the writers!

Charming and Entertaining
1 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is such a charming and entertaining movie. Part of what makes it so engaging is the scenery of the lush vegetation in Columbia. I would watch it just for the scenery alone. I haven't had the privilege of visiting a coffee farm, but it appears as though it would be an authentic organic farm.

The two main characters have great on screen chemistry. The plot/storyline was somewhat predictable, but it was fun to see it evolve. I realize this was several years ago; however, it could've easily become a series. After all, their love story was just at the beginning at the end of the movie. TV is starving for new/original ideas that don't involve woke ideology, it would be great if they could pick this up and make it a series.

Ultimately a Huge Disappointment
9 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The whole thing was reminiscent of Sex and the City, which is a primary reason I found it endearing. The first season was the best then season 2 and 3 fell flat. It was like the writers/director(s) tried to be to "artsy" and ran out of ideas by season 3.

I enjoyed the personalities of each of the characters and they made it fun to watch.

The best was the romance between Victor and Valeria (and what woman doesn't love watching the hot smoldering leading man?). They chose perfect people to each of them. The two had perfect on-screen chemistry. While the history of the Victor/Valeria relationship was toxic and destructive, one would have thought they would mature and grow (especially after all their time apart). Why tease us with the idea Victor would finally come to his senses and admit he was madly in love with her, to then let us down at the end? It could have had a satisfying ending with Victor finally showing up and confessing his love. Needless to say, I was deflated to see how it ended.

Shines a Light on the Darkness
4 July 2023
This is such a well-done heartbreaking story based on Tim Ballard's real life experience with Operation Underground Railroad. It focuses on two children specifically, but shows how he has managed to save hundreds (in just that time).

It is truly distressing to know the world (in particular the US) has such a market for child slavery/sex trafficking. The fact there are so many morally and spiritually bankrupt humans existing on this planet, is like hell on earth. It's very sad.

I applaud all involved in shining the light on the darkness and working as true warriors/God's angels to do their best to stop it. Please please buy a ticket, share with everyone you know and go see it in the theater (and stay for the special message at the end of the credits). It will definitely evoke strong emotions, but it is necessary to hold the light and help those poor souls.

Lame
17 March 2023
Why is it they can't seem to make a funny movie anymore? The storyline was basically ripped off from the Jennifer Aniston movie, The Switch (perhaps the reason for incorporating her name into this story?). This has some funny parts, but overall it was just a poorly-written dud. The only part I actually laughed at was Jerry O'Connel touching Malin's face. In fact, Jerry surprised me that he had the ability to have a comedic moment. Overall, it often felt contentious and tense; it was like watching a party where you definitely would want to leave early. So many cringy moments with bad lines and stupidity. They couldn't even get the ending right.

Fresh and Fun
28 February 2023
This was a fun, fresh, cheeky drama/comedy with characters that made you want to tune in to see what they would "cook up" next. I loved that it wasn't another medical, crime, or lawyer show (way overdone). One of of my favorite characters was Diana with her quips and witty personality. Next was the twist of what starts out as a booty-call type of relationship between Margot and Weston. Margot was calling all the shots and I loved her dry wit as well. What was fun was seeing the creative dishes that came from Diana. Even the bitterness of Denise was part of the amusement. Super disappointed to see it was only two seasons. Seems a lot of the good ones end too soon. Hoping it will get picked up again.

Refreshing
15 February 2023
I love seeing a good romantic comedy... like they used to be. So refreshing to see something that doesn't need to throw in all the woke propaganda. A big thank you to the producers for that!

Overall, it was a decent movie. The storyline was a little weak and predictable and the pace was slow, but somehow it's excusable because it ended up being a charming story with a happy ending. Reece and Ashton did have a bit of awkwardness when it comes to playing the couple - there isn't much chemistry there (the chemistry of the friendship made sense). I did really like the supporting actors: Jack was super cute and fun to watch. I loved Minky's spicy character. I've always loved the dry humor of Steve Zahn - he cracks me up. The scenery: wow, the garden at Debbie's house, and the locations in New York - all were captivating.

I hope to see more simple and fun stories again.

Would be great to see a part 2 of Sweet Home Alabama (Reece and Josh Lucas has great chemistry). 😉

I Wanted to Like This
31 January 2023
Movies and TV in the 80s/90s/early 2000s were so much better. The story lines were better, the comedy wasn't restricted, actors didn't bitterly express their political views, the stories weren't focused on regularly delivering propaganda and pushing political agendas (like this did in the first 5 mins). I have to wonder if producers have bothered to pay attention that shows that don't force feed you the prevailing woke agenda, may actually be doing better. If alienating more than half the population makes it worth the cost to produce a movie, then I guess that's all that matters to them. I just wanted to see original Eddie Murphy, so disappointed.

Fresh and Fun

This is finally something worth watching. The story line is decent and overall engaging, drawing you in, making you want to watch what's next. I love the dramedy of it all. I love all of the characters of Clump - I think Cam and Daisy are my favorites. It's good to see TV bring in God - a message for us all. I love to see the softening of the main character (Mack) as he begins to be involved in all of the townspeople's lives. This little town of Clump shows a simple beach life but how drama exists in every corner of the world, but humanity and love eventually prevails. More please! Hoping for season 2.

Charming and Fun
14 November 2022
This was a cleverly written story, with the nod to history and the first women's movement (activists) toward improving working conditions. The energy and mystery begins from the first second and takes the audience on a ride through solving a missing person's case. Focus on women, their strength and weaving in the balance of femininity makes it even more engaging and fun. I have to wonder why this isn't a Netflix series - it should be. There are many more good stories that can be written with these characters (pending they keep the same creative writers - seems to be a rare talent these days). 👏🏼

I Wish There Were More Movies Like This
29 September 2022
This is such a great story of faith and God's power. The story of the evil of this world and how it can break the spirit, but if one just gets a crack of light in the darkness and you reach out, then God will answer you. The overall power of love and how even some who believe they're lost, can find their way back. The acting, storyline, and ending were all good. It's worth the time.

I wish there were more current movies coming out like this. It seems the only trend lately is the woke agenda. There seems to be scarce talent for those who have imagination and can craft a good story. Enjoy this!

Possibly His Best
25 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is quite possibly Channing's best movie yet. This was a heartfelt story with a happy ending (thank goodness)! I enjoyed watching the bonding between Lulu and Channing, and the very real depiction of PTSD and emotional aftermath from serving. It had me in tears when they finally reached the funeral, then when he was going to surrender her, but realized he needed her as much as she needed him. It's a great family movie, that does a good job of showing the warmth that comes from the love of a dog. God bless all who have served, including the dogs and families. I pray more of the dogs get adopted.

Fun and a Little Addictive
11 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Just finished the 3 seasons and have to say, what a major let down! Sheesh! The writing in the 3rd season seemed to be scattered, like they were searching for storyline. I can see why the series ended, as there is only so much repetition that can happen; not enough creativity. Too many ridiculous scenes, not enough depth to this series. HOWEVER, as a romantic, I was hoping to see closure with Dean & Lara! This had potential to be better.

Wow wow wow... SO GOOD!
29 May 2022
Just saw this and it was exhilarating from the start. The emotional moments and memories were what made it exceptional. The scene with Maverick (Tom) and Iceman (Val) was a tear jerker, especially knowing of Val's real life struggle with throat cancer. Then the emotional healing between Maverick and Goose's son (Rooster) was special too. The whole thing does not disappoint. Was sorry Meg Ryan wasn't in this sequel, she was always a favorite of mine. Overall, this was well worth the wait for the sequel.

Hoping to see a third!

This was a surprising find for me. I just finished all 5 seasons and enjoyed every minute of it. It's sad they had to end it. I will miss seeing the characters, their stories and the beautiful scenery. Well done!

Just what is needed in an intense world. It's light, enjoyable and overall entertaining. The characters and their individual stories are engaging, along with the overall common interest in futbol/sports, it makes it worth the time out of your day.

Enough already!
18 January 2022
I was a huge fan until this "Redemption" reboot. First, it's not the same without Nate. I read about the supposed rape he committed in 1983, but did that get investigated and was it ever proven he did it or was it some angry woman who was jilted, then wanted to extort money? Curious why it comes out 30+ years later.

Second, the CONSTANT attention to the woke issues is just ridiculous! I miss the original/simpler stories. I don't watch TV to get the woke world stories shoved down my throat. I'm sick of it and won't continue watching this because of that! Over it!

Refreshing and A Delight to Watch
12 July 2021
I've been a fan from the first episode. I love all the characters, the stories of each of their lives. Jack and Mel are the most engaging. The scenery makes a person crave nature.

It's also refreshing (FINALLY!) to see a show not weave in the plandemic and political garbage. I watch TV for entertainment, an escape from reality. I don't need an agenda shoved down my throat at every turn.

Well done and BRAVO to the entire production team! PLEASE deliver more of this great escape. Thank you!

Shockingly Bad
22 March 2021
With the cast, I expected WAY better. What happened to McConaughey and this as a choice for a film?? He seems to like a lot of darker projects lately. I liked him better in the RomComs. This was pointless, no structure, an overall waste of time. I had to fast forward through most of it just so I can see how it ended/to see if it got any better. Such a letdown!

Charming, But Lacking
23 February 2021
I really want to be a 💯 fan of this show. I like the stories, the drama, but the fact this is a musically-centered series, one would think there would be better vocal talent. I really like Jane Levy, but her voice is average (at best). The best vocal talent is Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, and Alice Lee. It's a bit lackluster. Sadly, not sure I'll continue watching after this season.

This didn't start out as something I thought I'd like, but it proved to be a nice escape. It was well-acted, a fun and tantalizing story line. The period love story was engaging and fun to watch. I love the period costumes and the ostentatiousness. More should believe in love.
