Chicago Fire: All the Dark (2024) Season 12, Episode 8

At least a new theme

As usual the acting was outstanding as usual. Love the cast.

The only issue with the story line is in Illinois, there is a strict law against self referral (Stark law). A provider ( doctor) can't refer patients to a facility that the doctor owns. The provider doesn't make money unless dialysis claims are filed to Medicare. Misdiagnosed patients often die.

The Federal government goes after Providers filing fraudulent claims. Not only does money need to be repaid, but the facility can be shut down . The doctor would likely lose his medical license. The FBI would also want to be involved.

At least physically shutting down the facility immediately for code violations is great tv. Granted, insurance fraud is not as exciting as fire fighters rushing in to save the day.

It is hard to make Russell look unattractive. I still don't feel much chemistry between them. Their story lines are a little weak, so maybe they are doing the best they can. Worth one watch. Would not need to watch again.

The best Hallmark Series so far

I am a latecomer to this series and I wish I had watched this from the start. However, I caught up and have been impressed by the actors, the writing, the pace, and the wonderfully meaningful "side stories" about people in serious situations. The quirky actors and heartwarming story lines just made this series outstanding. Maybe the storylines for the leads were somewhat tied up, but there are many postal related stories to be written.

Lucy and Desi (2022)

Wonderful story

This was a well put together , interesting, detailed look at the personal and professional success of a powerful couple. I loved all the clips and some of the early background stories. I watched I Love Lucy as a child and continued to watch reruns of so many classics sketches that have never been duplicated. I admired her as an actress, him as a visionary in TV productions and her later on as head of Desilu when women were never taken seriously in the business world. Thank you Lucy and Desi for your valuable gifts to the industry.

way too woke ???

One reviewer is upset that the movie is "too woke". Why should one gender seem all knowing etc? Wow - women have been playing second, third fiddle for hundreds of years in stories. So how does it feel to have a strong female instead of a strong male lead? Long overdue. Welcome to the 21st century.

I love the chemistry between the leads. I also love Amy's father. He is great in his role. As far as people being offended Jill was pregnant, good grief. This is not a romance novel but I didn't notice she was pregnant. I was actually concentrating on the words coming out of her mouth and her facial expressions. If you don't like to see a pregnant woman acting, just pretend she gained a little weight. Welcome to the 21st century!

Wow - not what I expected

I like Bishop's character. I don't understand if she is truly leaving after the season or will make occasional appearances. ( As of the time I am writing this). Re Katrina Law, I watched her on Hawaii Five-O. She was great in the show and actually a pretty physical actor. I think she will make a good temporary addition to NCIS although I expect she will be part of the next spinoff NCIS Hawaii.. She's pretty used to living and working in Hawaii. I couldn't believe Gibbs was leaving the show or just in a different role now too. I think Sean Murray has done a great job handling Gibbs's functions. I understand when actors have been with a show forever may want a change or a break.

The previous reviewer said it was not a new episode. Well it is to most of us. It was preempted last week with the insurrection in DC. It should have been on last week, but wasn't. So yes it is new. Great episode BTW.

I am amazed that people don't want to see our favorite shows react to the reality we are living in. Hope the unhappy people can find something irrelevant to watch until Covid goes away. Maybe mid 2021.

We need to protect actors. You see no change in the police force in past 9 months? Okay, watch reruns, cartoons, or the few sporting events not shut out due to Covid.

NCIS: New Orleans: Something In The Air, Part I (2020) Season 7, Episode 1

Great show

I am amazed that "people don't want to see a show that addresses what our current situation is actually like." This is reality , people! The masks and precautions also IRL protect the actors and crew whenever possible who are risking their lives to come back and film. If you want fantasy, watch cartoons. We hope that shows will address changes due to Covid, BLM , and police brutality. Cop shows, medical shows etc will touch on this.

For the people in Covid denial, there won't be too many programs you can watch until mid 2021. Most of us like watching our favorite actors in their on screen careers but we need them to survive to be able to perform in 2021. So for many of you who can't believe Covid is real, watch reruns or read a book. Sorry that not many sports are n TV either due to Covid.

Chicago Med: Guess It Doesn't Matter Anymore (2020) Season 5, Episode 10

I love this show. I loved this episode.

There are several instances where simple medical terminology is not pronounced correctly. Dr. Manning incorrectly pronounced debride as de-bride instead of de- breed. There are just a few that slip through each week. However, I certainly understand how tricky it must be to rapidly speak all that medical technobabble with every patient from scene to scene.

I also understand that some words can be pronounced in more than one way, but some terminology in Chicago is pretty standard.

Very minor issues with how well the show is done.

An outstanding episode

The theme is shocking and depressing. I have always loved Sasha in all her roles. How she made that believable is stunning. No wasted words. No wasted shots. Just amazing acting. The usual cast is always good.

People need to know the reality and the issues involving immigrants in today's environment. Chicago Med is just telling a story. I am more horrified and upset about the white collar addict. Now that is a real problem in our society!

It was a little slow but Bridges was so adorable that it made it work. There were multiple comments in the reviews that it was not believable but she was too old for him. One reviewer even incorrectly switched their ages. He is just three years younger than she is - hardly a big difference. But he has a youthful look about him. Will watch this again and again. Why isn't he in more of these? I used to think his grandfather Lloyd Bridges was also extremely handsome.

I love Barbara Stanwick so I thought I would check it out. So outdated. Too bad that things were ever this way. Do not bother to watch it unless you just want to be grateful for how most situations are better today.

Who decided to add that FBI agent? She was unprofessional, annoying , and not a good fit for show. Love Heddy and have also adjusted to their new boss. Also like Hidoko. Please improve scripts so I can keep watching.
