Definately a must see!
17 October 2003
Sofia Coppola does a great job writing and directing this movie. The film does really well without boring you. Bill Murray delivers another great performance, it's probably his best work since Rushmore. Another thing that makes this movie great is just how it shows you how japanese culture is. It's got a wonderful story, and wonderful acting. Sofia Coppola knows what to do. I give it, 10 out 10.

Tarantino doesn't fail to make this enjoyable (possible spoilers)
12 October 2003
Warning: Spoilers
Finally, Tarantino is back, directing his 4th film. I must say it was very enjoyable to watch. Tarantino doesn't fail to make this film enjoyable. Obviously, he's trying to capture the spirit of the old kung fu films, and he does a very good job at it. But i wouldn't exactly say this film is for everyone. One may think it's lame and unrealistic (with the blood spurting everywhere like a fountain), but like i said, that's what Tarantino is trying to do. Capture the spirit of old kung fu movies. Surprisingly, Uma Thurman did a great job in this film, i usually don't like her in any movies (except Pulp Fiction) and she did really well for this one. I rate this movie 9 out of 10, and i reccomend it to either Kung Fu fans or Tarantino fans.

Not bad for a movie based off a Disney attraction
13 July 2003
I was quite surprised when i saw this movie. I really was not expecting much from it. Though i wanted to check it cause i liked the ride at Disneyland. Never saw the theatrical trailer for the movie until i saw the movie, which i'm glad i didn't because i was surprised in alot of scenes. Johnny Depp delivers a really awesome performance, as usual. It's got an interesting story line, and interesting charecters. i give it 9 out 10.

Game of Death (1978)
what a load of crap!
13 July 2003
this is by far the worst Bruce Lee movie ever. It's so bad. The editing and everything. All they use or just stand ins and footage from his other films. And personally, i think this is a major disrespect on Bruce Lee's death. Though i admit, it's funny to watch. I laughed threw out the whole movie, cause it was so stupid and cheap. i give it 2 out of 10.

My personal favorite Bruce Lee film.
13 July 2003
Even though this movie was dubbed, and the dubbing isn't that great. the whole movie is great. I actually find this movie way better then Enter the Dragon. Plus, you got Bruce Lee, writing, starring and directing it, and he knew what to do to make this kung fu movie awesome. I reccomend this one to any kung fu fan who has not seen this one yet... i give it 9 out of 10.

hmmm... actually quite good.
1 June 2003
i wasn't really expecting much from this film. by the look of the previews i thought it would just be some movie to poke fun and see what a man would do if he had god's powers. Just a whole movie full of poos and giggles. but Bruce Almighty actually had something to it, a good storyline, funny at alot of times, and some decent performances. Morgan Freeman performs the same great performance as he does in all of his films. Jim Carrey and Jennifer Anniston did pretty good as well. i give it 7 out of 10.

not bad... but not great either
1 June 2003
i was sort of looking forward to this film since i liked Martin Lawrence in Blue Streak. But this movie really doesn't deliver anything special. One thing that got on my nerves the most about this film were the racial jokes. Sure sometimes they are funny, like every once in awhile but all the racial jokes were non-stop and you actually wanted Lawrence to say something intelligent. I was actually kind of glad that Steve Zahn played a different role this time. Instead of the idiot he was the smart guy. all in all the movie wasn't terrible, but not pure gold either, so i rate it 5 out of 10.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995–1996)
One of the greatest shows ever made!
26 May 2003
Evangelion isn't your stereotypical big robot show, i actually consider Evangelion, very original and well thought out. Though some parts are a bit hard to understand (mostly because there are so many religious references in there) I really wouldn't reccomend this show to everyone, maybe just manga fans, or someone who could at least appreciate a great show like this.

Not as good as the first *possible spoilers*
24 May 2003
Warning: Spoilers
The Matrix Reloaded is a decent film with awesome action, but it just doesn't beat the first one. There were also some other things that got on my nerves about this one, including the whole romance between Trinity and Neo, that was just corny, and the movie could of been better without that sex scene, that whole scene was just a waste of film, they could of replaced it with Keanue having another fight with Agent Smith. Keanue Reeves still delivers the same cruddy acting like he always does, Laurence Fishburne doesn't do a bad job of acting, delivering an average performance. Carrie Anne Moss still looking like K.D. Lang does better than Keanue. The guy who probably does the best performance in this movie is Hugo Weaving. Anyway i rate it 6 out of 10.

SLC Punk! (1998)
stereotypical punk!
24 May 2003
not at a bad movie, but way too stereotypical about the whole anarchy thing. but the movie does have a good plot i guess. There were some pretty awesome performances in this movie, but Matthew Lillard just got on my nerves in this movie. the movie is funny in many ways, and also stupid with there dang stereotypes in this. this movie seems to be aimed more at audiences of kids that shop at Hot Topic and think they are cool. it's not a bad movie, it's only alright. nothing to watch over and over again and praise over. i rate it 4 out of 10.

very awesome tarrintino film
24 May 2003
I wasn't really expecting much from this film when i first saw it. I just thought it would be your stereotypical action film, but than again i have never seen a Quentin Tarrintino film until now, Reservoir Dogs surely delivers. This is probably one of the best performance i have seen from Tim Roth, Harvey Keitel, and Steve Buscemi. There were some scenes in the movie, a bit graphic, but i could stomache it. i rate it, 10 out of 10.

Battle Royale (2000)
10/10
very good, yet very twisted
23 May 2003
when i first watched this movie, i was quite shocked, just watching a movie of teenagers killing each other on a deserted island. it kind of reminded me of Lord Of The Flies, but this is way more disturbing than Lord of The Flies. i couldn't believe that someone could actually make a movie like this. all in all, the movie has great action, alot of extreme violence and blood, a good storyline, so i give it 9 out of 10.

Very sad movie
20 April 2003
Usually i don't cry in movies. But Grave of The Fireflies made me cry. It's probably the only movie i actually cried watching It's probably the most depressing movie i have ever seen. It's very good also. And since what's going on in Iraq now, i think everyone should see this film. Because it gives you this message that there shouldn't be war. I give it 10 out 10.

Adam Sandler's best performance yet
30 March 2003
I have not seen P.T. Anderson's past films, but i wanted to see this one, because it just seemed different for Adam Sandler to be in a movie like this, so i checked it out. Boy, was i amazed, Adam Sandler did one of the best performance yet. I didn't think an actor like him could do it, but he did really awesome. I think P.T. Anderson did an excellent job making this film, i give it 10 out 10.

Spirited Away (2001)
Miyazaki makes another masterpiece
30 March 2003
when i first saw Princess Mononoke, i just thought that it was the coolest anime movies ever, than one day i heard that Miyazaki was making a new movie, i was pretty excited, and i finally got my chance to see it yesterday, and boy i was amazed. though Spirited Away isn't a good as Princess Mononoke, it's still really good. After i walked out of the movie theatre i just thought to myself "no wonder this won best animated feature". i give it 9 out of 10. and warning to some parents who might want to take their kiddies to this flick, that it's 2 hours long and it has some moments that might scare a 5 year old.

Kevin Smith's first but best movie.
30 March 2003
I am a very big Kevin Smith fan and i have to say this is my favorite Kevin Smith movie. But when i first watched it, (i wasn't really paying attention) and i thought it was a peice of crap, and plus my friends didn't want to watch it since it was in black & white. but than like a few months later, i felt like giving it another chance, so i rented the movie, actually watched it and was like "wow!" i loved the movie afterwards, i watched it so many times, i like know every line in the movie, i remember after i returned it to the video store, a few days later i bought the movie, it's great! i give it 10 out of 10.

Old School (2003)
Funny Stuff
24 March 2003
In the tradition of movies such as Animal House. Old School delivers very funny stuff. When i first saw it, i laughed really hard. the movie is really really good, if you are the kind of guy or gal who likes slap stick comedy, this movie is for you. Will Ferrell is so funny in this movie, and it has some pretty good characters, like Beanie (played by Vince Vaughn) and Mitch (played by Luke Wilson) i give it 9 out of 10.

Mononoke Hime is pure gold!
24 March 2003
Mononoke Hime is pure gold. One of the best anime movies i have ever seen. The animation is very well done. The movie has a great story line. It's in my top 10 of animation movies. I suggest this movie to anyone who is a fan of anime, or even a person who isn't into anime. Because as you continue to watch the movie, you forget that you are watching a cartoon. It's great. 10 out 10.

The Evil Dead (1981)
Pure Corny Fun
24 March 2003
Though this movie doesn't have great acting in it really, or the best special effects, it's still quite an awesome movie. I mean, the special effects are alright, knowing that it was a low budget movie. This movie is a friggen' Cult Classic. The Evil Dead itself is actually pretty inspirational also, it has inspired me to make horror movies. If i know Raimi could do it, so can I. If you are a fan of horror movies, and have not seen The Evil Dead, check it out, it's a classic. i rate it, 7 out of 10.

One of the best anime movies that has been adapted from the show
22 March 2003
I was really impressed when i first saw Cowboy Bebop Knockin' On Heaven's Door. the animation for the movie was great (just like it is for the tv show). Director Shinchiro Wantanabe does a great job directing like he always does in the tv show. though i am a cowboy bebop fan, you don't have to be a fan, to understand what's going on in the movie, though the movie is aimed more for the people who watch the tv series. i suggest any anime fan or any fan of action movies to see this movie... it's a masterpeice. i give it, 10 out of 10.

Cowboy Bebop (1998–1999)
one of the best anime series to ever come up.
22 March 2003
Cowboy Bebop is really amazing. I have not seen any show like it. i know people who are not even into anime, but they like Cowboy Bebop. In my opinion, it's probably the best anime that has ever came out. It has great characters, great plot, great action, great comedy, also plenty of great jazz music. This show absolutely delivers pure entertainment. if you have not watched it, check it out and prepare to be amazed.
