Goede tijden, slechte tijden (1990)
I admit: I watch it. Every day.
Yes, I watch 'Goede Tijden, Slechte' ('Good Times, Bad Times'), aka 'GTST', and to add more to it: I love the soap.
My mother started to watch it when I was about three years old. However I started to really understand it after a couple of years, I followed it every day. It has now a very high sentimental value for me, and I have seen several characters come and go in this soap series.
Of course, it is mindless entertainment: you turn off your brains (if you do not, you will not be able to watch it) and you watch the misadventures of Ludo, Laura, Janine, Jeff, Bing, Sjors, Noud, Nina, Wiet, Lorena, Jack, and many, many others. How long this series will stand, I do not know. But I do know this: I hope it will continue for a very long time.
And my apologies for eventual crappy writing: my English grammar is kind of very bad.
Grizzly Man (2005)
A different but beautiful movie
My first Werner Herzog movie, and my first review at the IMDb. There is not so much I can tell about the movie, except that it is... Different. Herzog has created a perfect balance between his own documentary and the footage of Timothy. Because of this, Herzog is able to make a profile of Timothy, and at the same time he uses the footage to make an impressive nature-documentary. Whether you think Timothy is a nut or he is a genius does not really matter. It is up to the viewer to decide what Timothy was.
In short, Grizzly Man is a movie that tries to understand why a man would live with bears without being armed with weapons to defense himself. In fact, the movie was not just about bears and the nature: it was about a man who could not stand the civilization and wanted to be one with the nature.
