Should be compared to the Hangover
23 September 2009
From Tucker Max's website; he gets excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregards social norms, indulges every whim, ignores the consequences of his actions, mocks idiots and posers, sleeps with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally acts like a raging d*ck-head, and I loved every second of it.

This movie should be compared with The Hangover. Its about 3 grown man-children on a bachelor road trip to a strip club. After that it all goes down hill and Tucker almost has a self realization. The Best part is that this is all based of Tucker Max's real stories so as ridiculous as some of it gets, there's a sense of realism. Basically no tigers in bathrooms but it does have one famous hotel scene. While the two are much alike they are different enough for this movie to be as or more enjoyable.

In short if you loved the Hangover, like I did, then this movie is a must see.

Marvel is cashing a check - sub par, not what it should have been
3 May 2009
Assuming I knew nothing about the real origins story, I didn't notice all the editing/cgi problems, and that I didn't notice major flaws - this movie was still just alright.

Marvel just decided to cash a check this time - The story was mediocre and rushed, the special effects were terrible considering todays standards(I am talking about the theatrical version), the editing didn't make sense at times, the mutants powers didn't even seem right, and for a movie about Wolverine, there was a lot of other character development which isn't bad but personally I went to see Wolverine. Also I'm not asking for a gore fest but when someone gets impaled, I expect at least one drop of blood.

The movie isn't bad but its sub par and not what it should have been

The Spirit (2008)

Wrongly marketed, loved/hated, I loved it
26 December 2008
Spirit was marketed to be the next Sin City or 300 which makes you think of hardcore action not quirky humor or PG-13

What most people hate about this movie I found awesome

Yes, one liners were cheesy. Yes, Samuel Jackson is in every movie ever. Yes, the acting was over the top. Yes, the film looks like Sin City. Yes, I loved this movie. Its so bad, its good. The one liners, the acting, and the style all made it feel like the comic strip.

The plot was a little thin but they had the back story catchup so you still get the whole movie experience.

The only major downfall I see to this movie is the PG-13 but thats why the DVD will be amazing.

You will know if you love/hate this film within the first 10 minutes so go see it and if you hate it, walk out fast so you get your money back.
