Knocked Up (2007)
Sexist, degrading, objectifying, classless, humorless
In my opinion, Judd Apatow is an insulting, offensive and demeaning director. I will probably never go see another Judd Apatow movie again. After all of the "positive" praise that this movie received, I made the mistake of watching it hoping for a funny and enjoyable movie. Afterwards I was in shock that this movie received any positive praise at all and feel the praise was completely undeserved. I felt so disturbed that people would rate such a degrading, offensive movie so highly, and that objectifying women would be viewed as funny. They didn't even seem to be treated human in this movie, but merely objects...a display of flesh and completely used in a negative way. There was absolutely no signs of intelligence or substance in this movie. The whole time I watched (which I wasn't even able to complete due to being so offended) I was waiting for a one liner or punch line that would make me laugh....nada....nothing....not even a chuckle. I was just thinking, are you serious? this is what people think is funny? Being a woman especially, I was so shocked at the numerous incredibly raw scenes that were supposedly "humorous" and just did a jaw drop in disbelief. I was baffled and saddened by this movie. Taking women, making them seem like nothing more than whiney, annoying, pains in the rear, then on top of that making a spectacle of their body was humiliating for me to watch. The directors obviously have no respect for women what so ever, or their bodies. The strip club scene which so many movies seem to have nowadays (so original) was about all I could take before shutting off the movie. A married man who happens to have young daughters rubbing his face in the butt cheeks of a stripper while his buddy gets a motor boat by another stripper who couldn't have possibly had a bigger set of "jugs" so they could "blow off steam" is hardly funny....its disrespectful and pathetic behavior. If my husband acted like a neandrathal like these guys, he sure as hell wouldn't be married to me. I have a bit more dignity than that and this movie is a perfect example of allowing men to behave in this immature, repulsive, and unacceptable behavior. I mean seriously....the characters are grown men. This movie basically said to me, raunch, disrespect, sexism, insulting, offensive, and any other word similar to those.....and also the message that men never grow up, or learn how to respect females....sad...pathetic movie....horrible horrible horrible....F- I didn't even want to give it a 1, but that was the lowest score possible.
Date Night (2010)
one of the funniest movies I have ever seen
this was a ridiculously top notch LAUGH OUT LOUD humor. Nice and easy, nothing too raunchy (which is nice for a change). Tina Fey is my new hero, she is so quirky and I just love her humor. Normally I HATE strip club scenes in movies cause they are SO OVER DONE and always in abundance with exploiting women and having an eye full of T& A but the strip club scene actually somewhat made fun of stripping and how silly it actually is. I was holding the chair in front of me from laughing so hard.Steve delivers a great performance. They are in a non stop chase through out the movie where they find themselves in hilarious predicaments and all along the way clever one liners. I am going to see this one again and again! A+ If you want to see some silly humor without all the garbage like a lot of movies have, this one is it. its refreshing and will leave you laughing as you leave the theater. I did.......
Kick-Ass (2010)
I would vote 0 but 1 was the lowest score you could vote LAME
this movie is LAME LAME LAME. I am wondering...is America a bunch of perverted, sex psycho paths and I am the only one left who appreciates a good movie with substance and without a load of insulting disgusting crap. that answer, yes....apparently I am one of the only ones that didn't think this was an "incredible" movie. I basically rolled my eyes and was trying not to upchuck through out it. I would have gotten up and walked out but I like a challenge so I wanted to see if I could stand sitting through this whole raunchy, uncreative, unfunny, classless movie. I made it! barely....I pat myself on the back for doing so, it was tough. I can only recommend this movie to pubescent, horny, raunchy, perverted morons that enjoy watching other guys wack off while they surf porn site "nipple slip" (um, grow up please) and talk about "TITS" non stop. I guess one area they did excel was insulting the female audience and making some of us ladies squirm at the awkward unnecessary scenes. I think that idiot Eli roth and the national lampoons directors got together and conjured up something like this "ok guys, what can we think of that is degrading, sexist, gross, and will show the biggest lack of class? hmmmmm" then they came up with this stupid movie. If you are a big moron, like movies with no substance, many sexist and degrading moments in regards to women, enjoy tit and nipple talk, are a horny pubescent teen who cant get laid other than rubbing your genitals between a playboy magazine and like watching guys jerking the turkey, then this is a must see. If you have half a brain cell then I suggest avoiding F- (and Im being nice) oh and did I mention LAME?
Hostel (2005)
Breasts breasts and more breasts
This movie should win hands down for most exploitative, degrading, offensive, over the top unnecessary female nudity. Can I have my knockers with a side of movie please? This should have been NC-17 or considered soft porn. I mean really? can you seriously sit in the same room with friends or god forbid-family watching this and not feel dirty? It would be about the same as sitting back watching a porn and flipping through playboys. what substance. the movie (after the abundant amount of tits and sex) was actually done OK, but I lost any liking for it cause the beginning and some parts throughout were so polluted with garbage and way too much sex, nudity, drugs etc. How much can a movie seriously push the envelope before its considered a porn? Unless a women was a lesbian, or an exhibitionist who enjoyed women being humiliated for no other than the reason to see them naked, I don't see why a woman would actually sit through this movie unless of course she wanted to torture herself with sexism. the producer must be a real pervert and have absolutely zero respect for women. A movie can be good without all that crap. Its called imagination and suspense. There was A LOT that was NOT left to the imagination. If you want to see a Hustler magazine gone movie, this is it. To have to use the female body at such a sexual extreme shows to me that the director is pretty insecure with his ability to make a good movie so needs a lot of eye candy/distraction. Complete asinine crazy ass sex and nudity borderline soft porn flick for the boys this one. If your teenage boy has a big grin on his face, a boner, and just watched a movie....I would guess it was this one....
Good Luck Chuck (2007)
crude, degrading, sexist, raunchy, immature, T&A
If you want a border line porn I guess this below average crude and offensive movie is up your alley. Women are just not respected at all anymore in film and this movie is a true example of that. This movie was so offensive and especially insulting to women. I was completely uncomfortable watching it, squirming actually. It was gross to watch, constant topless scenes, thrusting, groaning, sex non stop. You couldn't blink without seeing a tit. There is even a scene where a guy measures a girls tits to see if they are "even" ...seriously, grow up....did a 17 year old male virgin direct this movie? come on.....this movie does none other than to serve the purpose of "jerk off" material to a horny teenage boy. My opinion of Jessica alba went down a few notches. She didn't act like a hooch herself but I thought she had a little more class than to be in a putrid film like this. I haven't seen so much sex and unnecessary exploitative nudity since hostel. waste of time, unless you are horny and wanna see tits. If you have grown up and are an adult, I wouldn't waste your time with this tit flick.
Sorority Row (2009)
sexist, raunchy, objectifying, lacking imagination
this is a totally horrible and immature T&A piece. There is absolutely no imagination what-so-ever, just exploitation of the females body. If people want to watch this sort of material they are better off just going and buying porn cause the acting is about the same (bad) If you enjoy films that are done just to offend demoralize and humiliate women with no class and poor acting (similiar to "porky's" "national Lampoons") crudeness, where they will use any lame excuse to show a womans rack (shower scene...puh leez) then this is right up your alley. If you enjoy films that are worth watching, have good acting, and actors that respect the female body and don't support flaunting it to the "anything goes" desensitized hooters loving audience then this movie is for you
