I had such high hopes for the Killing Joke
13 March 2020
I was so excited when I heard that the Killing Joke was being made into a animated movie as it is one of my favorite Batman Graphic Novels It would have been better if they had produced this as an animated short rather than a full fledged animated movie. As the first 1/2 of the movie was mostly about Batgirl, which had no significant to the story of the Killing Joke.

Sam Raimi has done it AGAIN!!
1 September 2007
First of all I would like to say "What the hell was Sam Raimi THINKING, when he directed this movie?!" The fact that this sequel is by far the worst of the Spider-Man trilogy is stated as an actual FACT. Just when I thought that there couldn't be more drama in the Spider-Man trilogy Sam Raimi proves me wrong! Sam forget the drama lessons you've learned at directors school, and focus on telling the story of Spider-Man properly. Watch the 90s animated series, and read comic book or two. You had a great Marvel francise, which would have been a great movie trilogy. But you've messed it up with all this drama junk! As a Spidey fan! I've got to say quit while your down!! STOP directing Spider-Man movies, cause each one is worst than the last!!

A Most Watch Anime for Any Sci-Fi Fan
30 March 2006
For those who are a fan of the 1997 anime/Manga Movie "Ghost In The Shell", they maybe shocked to know that the Stand Alone Complex series is NOT a sequel or alternate version of that storyline. Instead it is set in a alternate timeline. However it doesn't make this a must avoid anime spin off.

The script and animation quality are the same standards as depicted in the 1997 anime/Manga movie. I personally find Stand Alone Complex has a more interesting and entertaining storyline than, that of the original movie. The main attractions in the series are the Tachikomas "Sential Tanks". I personally enjoyed the episodes, which featured these small "thinking" tanks, which possessed the personality of a small child! A true anime/manga classic in the making, superior to the original 1997 anime/manga movie.

An Awesome Sequel To The Original Stand Alone Complex
9 March 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The great writers at Production IG in Japan have done it again, not only have they made a great production in terms of storyline, and animation quality. They have even manage to give a in-depth view into a few of the major characters backgrounds (E.G. Motoko Kusanagi), and also how Public Security Section 9 was formed.

As usual there are a few episodes which are stated as Complex, meaning that they fit together to form a large scenario, and Individual episodes, which are stand alone stories. The main feature of this sequel are the return of the ever lovable SPOILER! - Tachikomas - which have been fully restored and are now stated as active members of Public Security Section 9. For those who have not watch the 1st Gig or 1st Season or any of the Ghost In The Shell Movies, do not worry, you don't have to have watch either of these to enjoy this exciting 2nd installment of Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex.

Truly a must have or watched for any Ghost In The Shell, anime, Shirow Masamune or S-F Fan.

A Really Bad Adapation Of A Classic Anime
30 July 2005
First of all I would like to point out the many errors of this Live Action Production of Fist Of The North Star: Hokuto Shinken - The Holly Fist Of The North Star is not the martial art practiced by Shin. It is the martial art practiced by the Fist Of The North Star Kenshiro.

I don't know if it was the writers fault for not watching the anime or reading the manga novels for research when writing the script. However they did it the messed up the most important aspect of the storyline in the Fist Of The North Star story.

Also what did they do to Kenshiro, what happen to his famous "ATATATATATATATATATATATATAT AH!" Hokuto Hyakuratu Ken (Hundred Cracked Fist Of The North Star) Technique, which he uses in almost every anime episode and manga novel.

Overall A Very Poor Production!!

More Weirdness In The Making
23 September 2004
WARNING!!!!!! To All Pregnant Woman of the WORLD! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A CHILD ANY TIME SOON!

This sequel is similar in story terms to the Pang Brothers original movie by the same name. Except it follows the Chinese supernatural story of reincarnation. However it does raise allot of questions about our pastlives. For instance how many past lives have we had? What were we like back then? Etc,etc.......................................

Overall another horrifying experience bought to you by the ever horrifying Pang brothers. Man are they scary.!!

WATCH IT IF YOU DARE!

Not As Good As The First Movie
18 February 2004
This sequal to Battle Royale was surprisingly not as good as the original. Althought it had a better storyline and plot, which the original lacked. The action content was more 15 (or as the Americans call it a PG13) rating than a 18.

If you asked me they should have improved the idea of the original. That way this movie would have at leasted stood a chance against the sequals of this year, such as Bad Boys II ( one of the best sequals of the year), Matrix Reloaded, and Revelations.

Another Godzilla Movie!
4 September 2003
This Godzilla movie has a better storyline than any of the other originals. The special effects used were excellent, however the Godzilla and MechaGodzilla (Kiryu) costumes were similar to the ones used in the early Godzilla movies.

The performance of Japanese Pop Idol Yumiko Shaku (Yuki from Shura Yukihime/The Princess Blade) was great, she really portrayed her character (Akane Yashino)'s emotions well.

The overall its a good movie to watch for fun!

Could have been better!
1 September 2003
This sequal to the very popular terminator series is a good production but lacks the atmosphere of excitement which its predecessor has (Terminator 2: Judgement Day). Even though Rise Of The Machines had a larger budget, the camera techniques used to film this movie was absolutely appauling. However the special effects used in the movie more than made up for that.

The performances of the cast were excellent, in particular Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-850, or the model 101), and Kristanna Loken (The Terminatrix).

I believe that if James Cameron directed Rise Of The Machines it would have been a better movie.

Overall: If your a fan of the Terminator then watch it, and if your not then wait for the rental release.

Weird Movie
9 June 2003
The movie begins with a very weird atmosphere, and goes on to describe the details of a blind girl getting a cornea transplant thus giving her the ability to see. However she starts to see some very weird things, like a angry girl charging at her from out of nowhere, then dead people start to appear all around her.

The movie has a good storyline if you pay really good attention to it. However the ONLY scary thing about it is the atmosphere created by the music.

Overall a very entertaining movie.

Watch it if you like strange movies, stay away from it if you don't like getting scaried.

Don't Watch This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
8 May 2003
This is a very BAD adaptation of the manga "Crying Freeman", the basic story line behind the film is absolutely CRAP! The fight scenes are poorly choreographed.

Overall a extremely dumb movie.

If you want to watch a good movie check out the actual live action version of the Manga "Crying Freeman", starring Mark Domasco

This Film Is Truly A Work of Art!
7 April 2003
Princess Blade is a great film for martial arts, and movie fanatics. The techniqued used to film the fight sequences was great, it allowed the viewers to view the fights in great detail. The fight choreography wasn't the best I've seen, but was satisfactory.

Yumiko Shaku's performance as Yuki was terrific, she displayed the emotions of her character very well in the film. I must applauded Ms Yumiko Shaku performance in this film. Even though this was her first film she gave a great performance, Bravo!
