Not bad as other reviews
12 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
First i would admit it's not the best cg movie that i have seen. second i have to say it is not bad as the critics here. Story is simple. just some animals trying to save their forest. by saying that, i need to say that we need to put away our common sense if we really going to watch these type of movies. you can either enjoy your knowledge or enjoy the film.

I too feel lack of something.... It was unable to keep attracting audience may be? Theme is OK. graphics good. use of CG is good. I watch the English version of the movie, but i think they did really well in that when it comes to translated to English.I saw a gap in narration. The film is not much enthusiastic. Well use of these characters, would have been ended with a better job as "IceAge", but they really missed it....

Not agree for the argument "not for kids". Now a days kids know more than we do. Anyway, nothing bad actually i saw in this film comparing to many "kids" movies i used to watch past few years.

In a brief. it's not a best and not the bad as well.

very good CGI effort with a decent story line

Warning: Spoilers
I love this movie, at the first impression it makes me happy. Been stitch punks, it's amazing to see how well the animation has been directed.

For ex: the emotions of each stitch punk. i was wonder to see how much i have touched with the "9"'s emotions though it's just a simple CGI face.

And this is a good post- apocalyptic film too.

Well directed animations, good story line. Best use of CGI. gr8 Continuity.Good theme and last easy to watch without been annoying with the film… Overall 10/10. Well-done.

Please make more CGI movies in verity of themes.

Disappointed

Warning: Spoilers
Well though i have given 10/10 for the Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007), This Squeakquel (Sequel) was a gr8 disappointment. The chipmunks continuity is OK. But the story line is very very poor. Animation efforts not much from the first one. I was expected much improved and powerful story, but it seems to be a rush production over the popularity of the first one.

The chipmunks are meant to be children. But they are going for higher grade in school. The musical contests are just crazy events. They were just included to make the story. The fights and events over teenagers and chipmunks are just funny, useless and sometimes made me sick. Common! Those are chipmunks. You have 3 gr8 GCI characters. If you are going for 3rd one please make sure to use their best out of it.

I love to see chubby Theodor's cute actions with the next Sequel.

My 4 votes going to CGI effort.

Excellent in overall!

Warning: Spoilers
Well I think it's my duty to comment on this movie. I have seen over 50 3d animations. I love them all (except some really stupid movies like Garfield or veg tales.. etc:). I really didn't comment on movies in IMDb that much not because I don't love them but due to time constraints that I have. I personally think the comment I made should be fair to film itself as well as the audience. I love the way animator gave (human) expression on animated characters (or shapes). Just look Bob. It's just a kind of jelly. But throughout the movie Bob did huge work lord to entertain the audience. What a beauty of use of impressions! The story flow and language use is really good. This kind of quality can be expected from DreamWorks products. Let's see few conversations in the movie:

>>>>>>>> How many times do I have to tell you this. UFOs don't exist and we are never gonna see... Wow. It's energy. Signature is massive. Holy Jesus, what do we do? No one ever told us what to do. The only reason I took this job is cause you don't have to do anything.

>>>>>>>> I'm brave. I'm a brave president!!!!

>>>>>>>> Yes Bob. We are in the presence of the rare female monster. ……. No way. It's a boy. Look at his boobies.

>>>>>>>> Might we ask your name, Madam? ………. Susan. ………………… No, no, no. We mean like your monster name. Like what do people scream when they see you coming? You know... like: " Look out. Here comes... " ……… Susan. …………… Really? Suuuusan. I just scared myself. That is scary. >>>>>>>>

I have enjoyed the impressions, the story, theme, language all the efforts so I gave my maximum in to this animation. Hope you all will have a gr8 time with this movie. A bit to add… It's typical that we see criticize against any good movie. Some may argue the story line is poor or stupid. Common arguments may be the existence of monsters, the reality or even if monsters exist, why the hell we depend on them when we have powerful techniques. My answer is I am not gonna worry about that kind of little things as much as I had something to taste with it.

My wish is please create good 3d animations least 100 per year! :)

This is a very good animation effort
15 April 2008
I don't know why people has rated this animation such low. By the way to my own opinion this is a great animation. I am giving 10/10 against all other votes to take this one least 0.01 up. The things I see in this animation,

Chipmunk's actions, so cute, so impressionable. The characteristic of each of the chipmunks has been created very carefully, and it is consistence through out the film. The story shows us the real business world behind the music world. The movie is very sensitive. This is a very good animation effort. Please study this film and take your own decision.
