..or so that's what we are lead to think. Fun movie with some very fine acting. Nice anthology that could use some tightening up and cuts here and there. VERY reminiscent of the stuff that TROMA has been doing for decades. Great to see Chase Williamson being a dingbat. Worth the watch.

How have I never heard of the film until 2019? This movie it truly original. The Trickster is a Halloween gem and deserves to be up there with Krampus, The Babadook and Sam as a new Halloween icon. Do yourself a favor and watch this film. I learned about this film at Midsummer Scream when The Trickster was seen creeping around the convention floor. Seeing him in person is quite an unnerving experience. Inspiration from many other horror movies is quite evident throughout the story but not enough to be a blatant rip-off. The creatures are well designed and the story is entertaining. Add this to your viewing list this Halloween.
