Deadpool (2016)
A flawed non-Deadpool movie with Deadpool jokes
If I've to keep it short - the movie is really, really bad.
There are plenty of jokes, plenty, even when yo don't want one. These jokes are true to Deadpool, but that's it. They are the jokes Deadpool would crack, but most of the time they missed the mark and were not even remotely funny.
There's absolutely no story in the movie, none at all. On top of that if you've watched all the trailers, watching movie is worthless. The entire story is - Ajax converted Wade into Deadpool, Deadpool searched him to fix his face and once it's cleared that Ajax is not going to do that, Deadpool killed him. Yeah, entire 10 minutes stretched into a almost 2 hour movie. On top of that, for some reason Ajax kidnaps Pool's girlfriend and sets target on his back.
It makes no sense.
Apart from jokes, Deadpool also has inner voice, but not in this movie. He's most of the time blabbering to himself because of that, making it much more unfunny.
There cannot be much said about the movie as it's just extended trailer done badly.
Arrow: My Name Is Oliver Queen (2015)
Terrible terrible finale.
I don't why anybody wanted to see Olicity, but it's stupid from the word go. The entire series anyway wasn't doing any justice to comic book, but this is too much. I've no idea why directors need to pull off Nolan like superhero ending, which was worst form of superhero ending anyway.
Whatever happens, let the hero leave his mantle. Dumb and stupid, and I'm looking at you Mr. Nolan for this stupidity.
Just a episode before Ollie came to help Flash when he's always with guards. And Flash can easily help all his problem go away in matter of minutes once they call him in the show, so he had to give stupid excuse to get away. What the hell? People are dying in Starling City and Barry has to interrogate a captured suspect? Makes a lot sense.
A season-wide build for Ra's was just to be killed in matter of 5 minutes and that too very ordinarily. I cried to the villain a bit here.
Ra's big threat to city was so ordinary that anybody with almost zero in-crime experience (if that's a thing) can overcome the villains.
So much not looking forward to next season now. Hope they kill the entire series and save further disgrace named Arrow.
Gotham (2014)
This might be Gotham, but it isn't related to Batman in any way!
Apart from pathetic acting low quality dialogs, this TV series has nothing else to offer. I've seen their promo, when they said there hasn't been said anything about how the characters in Batman universe grew to become hero/ villain or other character. This is completely untrue, as almost everybody has quite a detailed description of their origin. Also the story tried to sell too quickly but fails almost in every department.
SPOILERS FROM HERE
If we talk about story, there isn't much to offer till now, and that too without much of consistency. Gordon shooting Cobblepot, was stupid scene and Harvey could have easily seen that. Acting is weird from almost everyone and lack impact.
As per characters, personally I don't like such all over changes, especially when new characterization is way too worse compared to great in comic books.
Take Pamela Isley for example. She's now renamed to Ivy Pepper, daughter of a criminal and loves plants since childhood. In comics, she was respected doctor, and didn't have such affection since considerable amount of time.
Selina Kyle, who loves to be called Cat in this series, is exactly what she's not in comics. Of course she had troubled childhood, but did pretty good job hiding her criminal name.
Oswald Cobblepot was supposed to only few years younger than Thomas Wayne and once the second most richest families in Gotham. His love for birds, was reason he's called Penguin. And he did chose that name anyhow. Also, I'm quite skeptical how will he ever fight Batman with such physical handicap.
Harvey Bullock, is younger than Gordon, older in Gotham as Gordon came in when Batman was a vigilante. Bullock was lazy but honest person.
Riddler is just wasted in couple of episodes. I would've given him a chance but given the entire series sucks, there's no point.
Almost all character changes were unnecessary, and in fact, would be great if original story was carried out. There are useless plot holes and worthless twists.
When Selina says that she knows the murderer, actually kills all my interest for the show.It took Batman years to find the killer and then there's quite a story about his revenge.
This series, it seems, ensures that no good (even average) story or acting be presented at any instance.
Person of Interest (2011)
One character to ruin promising show
With my rating it may sound like very average or low rated series, but it's not exactly the case. It's slightly difficult to explain. The show itself is quite promising and fun to watch. The story build up and execution and overall feel are quite up to the mark with any good TV series.
Then why so rating you may ask? It's because of one stupid character.
Just one - Root. Root is shown as genius, computer expert who has given Reese and Finch a run for money, outsmarted them all the time. Apparently quite promising character in negative lead. What's the problem then?
There are many flaws with this Root. Whenever she's shown on screen, Finch intelligence drops to a 7th grader, and Reese practically never be found on scene. Her plans are one of the most stupid ones and still it's shown as most intelligent.
I mean machine has been given life and it talks to Root, give me a break. Earlier machine was shown to show only social security numbers in words. Now it starting to talk? That's not what do you call giving full access.
The plans of root includes, getting herself beaten for no reasons (End of season 1), easily bypassing gangs of villains like nobody is there, and that too without any help (end of season 2). At the same time Reese and Shaw had difficult time to beat the goons, etc.
Apparently everybody gets dumb when Root is involved, just to show her intelligent, but show runners also ensures the she clearly look stupid to average viewer.
Her origin is most hilarious. I mean if you beat the game, you're computer hacker. It's her friend who was good at computers, for crying out loud. And her purpose throughout the show? To set the machine free - the most stupid reason a villain can every say.
It's quite understood what writers are trying to portray - they want to make Root to Finch as what Irene Adler is to Sherlock Holmes. But lack of good story around her and over portrayal of her intelligence make the matter worst.
Every time Root is on the episode, the quality of show goes down, and hence my ratings. I've nothing against Amy Acker as she acted quite well, but the character is very very stupid and every episode she's in make the episode such an drag that I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with the series anymore or not. This question is more troubling as they are giving her more screen time as of series 3rd. If this continues I think my rating will either sink further or I'll stop watching the show altogether to rate anyway.
Friends with Better Lives (2014)
The can hardly be worse show than this
Adult humor, it's not. The show tries to make audience laugh on sexual *jokes* which are far from funny, and actually are quite embarrassing. The show has absolutely nothing else to offer apart from these *jokes*. When a 22 minutes show is hard to watch, you can understand the quality of show. The show which is promoted as F.R.I.E.N.D.S. sequel, really worsen the cause. Now it's failing on that expectation badly.
Force-fed sexual-only jokes and zero storyline takes the show nowhere. There's zero character building. All actors' have expression like they said some funny jokes and audience must laugh. This really makes one wish they never have seen any scene of this show.
On personal take, it's a must avoid show.
Elementary (2012)
It's definitely not the Sherlock Holmes
I'm not saying this because there's (female) Joan Watson instead of usual (male) John Watson. Not because Sherlock has moved to US. Not even because usual characters are dumped. These things are bound to happen when you take new approach. The problem with the series is the basic. No matter how much you twist Sherlock Holmes, playing with his real characteristics is bad. Sherlock never explains himself, not at least before he solves every piece of puzzle. Even John Watson used to get bits of clues and then while he figured out those, Sherlock went out to solve entire case. Also, all the stories of Sherlock Holmes are gripping. Most of the time, readers/viewers keep guessing the criminal/outcome depending on the story. Unlike these very important features, Elementary, is quite dumb. Sherlock here explains every time. In fact he explains himself more that actually doing some investigation. Stories to so bland that almost midway you can tell the entire story, given they don't have unusual plan at the end (which is unlike original Sherlock). Most of the observations Sherlock makes in Elementary is what you make in any TV shows/ real life. Overall it's very dumb detective series and linking it with Sherlock Holmes makes it look even worse.
Ra.One (2011)
Best Indian movie - are you kidding me???
What in the hell makes this crap the best Indian movie? I've found none. Sure if you lived in cave for some 20 years and never seen any movies you may find the VFX new and fresh but for all others it's same soup with awful ingredients added. A similar (but far better) movie in Indian cinema, Robot, does far better job in CG and VFX department.
This movie ripped from Hollywood/Bollywood movies and games.Iron Man (the Hart), Batman (the poster), Infamous (Cole McGrath's dress), Jumanji/Zathura (Game coming to life type), Terminator (powerful villain chasing hero to kill), Mortal Kombat (how else you count one-on-one fight n sets?), & Robot (running on the side of train - exact rip-off!) are few examples.
Somebody must tell SRK that good looking costume with constipated look on face doesn't actually make you a Superhero. It's acting, stunts, etc. that make one. Also, the highly rated Akon songs are just ordinary (if not bad) Akon quality (not his fault though). Maybe fresh for those who never heard him, his fans will surely be disappointed. This movie doesn't have any appeal, and even SRK fan will be heart- broken (or is it Hart?).
My final verdict - Go and see this movie if you lived in caves for past 20 years and never saw CG/VFX movie or played any game, you'll be less disappointed then. Also, never look for story, this sucker movie has none. And why the hell I cannot rate 0, Mr IMDb??
