Unthinkable (2010)
Unwatchable -Glorification of torture
Simply a film to justify human rights violations.
Sad to see actors like carrie anne moss and samuel l. Jackson make a movie like this.
Bad script, could've been a better movie without the torture and focused on a manhunt, searching the bomb...something like that
But Making the movie focused on the torture or the "moral" dilemma that is portraited by Carrie Anne moss caracter is kind ironic and honestly really bad given US history with human rights violations, especially with the whole iraq and afeghanistan War contexto, is Just, not good at all
I had to drop the movie, Just couldn't bear how bad it Was, not Just the explict scenes of torture but Just a really bad movie in general.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Too big, doesn't look like a 200 million dollars movie
The movie has at least 40 minutes that you could easily cut it.
The special effects are not good, very cheap CGI.
But man the acting, is bad, really bad! Gal gadot cannot convince anyone that she is wonder woman, i truly do know how she was cast to this role.
Naega salinbeomida (2012)
black mirror meets korean thrillers
I really liked the movie. If you like movies that hold your attention and are full of plot twist, this movie is for you. Hollywood dreams of being as creative as Korean thrillers, and this is one of those.
The movie starts out tense, catches your attention right away and honestly didn't expect as much twist as it had in the movie. Go beyond the IMDB average 7, this movie deserves to be appreciated.
Night Hunter (2018)
Could have been a great thriller, but it isn't
The cast is amazing, but the way the director decided to put it all together, the film ending up miserable. It has a lot of cuts and ends up getting loose, when you can see that the story has great potential. I think a big problem is that in addition to the main story, the film has several other sub-stories that end up not being developed and let the film decay in quality. Anyway, bad choices were made in post-production that takes the film to this very average note, if you want to watch a thriller I would not recommend this one, there are several much better ones.
Bap Jal Sajuneun Yeppeun Nuna (2018)
A portrait of the building a relationship
I gotta say...if you want to watch something romantic, real, funny, sometimes a little sad but absolutely perfect...this is your show!
Netflix did a fantastic job producing this series, the cinematography is beautiful. The perfomance of Ye-Jin Son and Hae-in Jung are just mind blowing. My grade would be 670561578286/10 if IMDB would let me! Keep delivering this level of content, netflix!!!
When They See Us (2019)
A masterpiece of television and a portrait of the injustice of the judiciary
Very well done and impeccable performance of the cast. I must say that the scenes of the boys in the police station are of great agony and congratulations to Ava for carrying this feeling, because it portrayed very well the suffering of the boys in the face of the injustice of the prison system.
Leaving Neverland (2019)
Watch the documentary and take your own conclusions
I do not understand why so much hatred to the victims, what reason people have in defending michael jackson so fiercely being that this is already the third accusation of sexual abuse of a minor against him. It is at least strange for an adult to want underage kids to sleep in his room, and the way he surrounds himself with children is bizarre.
Watch the documentary and you can see how much abuse has affected the victims, and for those who say they're after fame and money, just come foward and show me who has ever been famous for a report of sexual abuse in history? absolutely no one.
Michael Jackson was important to the history of music, but that is not a excusing from showing that he was a pedophile, it does stain his reputation, but that is insignificant when you look the importance that these victims took the courage to come to the public and tell the trauma.
