Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
My fave of the trilogy and the entire series!
This one is my favorite because it's when Han & Leia fall in love, when Lando comes into action and Han gets frozen in carbonite. I just love it so much. It will always & forever be my favorite. I love the droids, Chewbacca, the evilness of Darth Vader, and the acting from the entire cast. Mark Hamill is always adorable as Luke, Harrison Ford is always hilarious & gorgeous as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher is perfection as Leia Organa & Anthony Daniels as C-3PO & Kenny Baker as R2D2. The entire movie is perfection to be quite honest. George Lucas is a revolutionary genius and that is without a doubt the best way to in the best of terms put it. Don't take my word for it though, see this movie and see why I am correct in all aspects!
The Ruins (2008)
Awful Film!
This movie was one of those movies that started off looking good but just got worse and worse as it went on. It was entirely gruesome, horrifying and just plain disgusting. The characters were just stupid, dumb and didn't know how to handle the situations of these human dwelling vines. It just got to the point where you are thinking, what the hell am I even watching & why did I just waste 93 minutes watching this crappy film, which isn't even scary, just disgusting and whoever made this movie is messed up in the head. I also don't know how this film could've even of been nominated for any awards at all. A dumb cast & a dumb plot line makes for a movie that you only and believe me, you only want to view once.
Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008)
A Fun Adventure Film
I heard my dad talk about how could so I caved. I watched it and I absolutely loved it! Brendan Fraser has yet to disappoint me in a movie. I absolutely loved him in Furry Vengeance & Encino Man. Josh Hutcherson is always adorable in films, so this was no exception. Just the concept and the fun was enough for me to be entertained. Watch this movie! You'll be glad you did. The whole cast is amazing, the scenery is amazing and I bet this was gorgeous in 3D. Anita Briem was amazing as well and she was amazing in this movie. Just watch this film for yourself and then you will see how truly amazing it is and I guaranteed to love it as much as I have. If you don't, then you don't but for sure give it a try.
Mad Love: The Spy Who Loved Me (2011)
Can't stop loving this show :)
This was such a great episodes as well as the other ones were. I don't know why everyone is down on this show. The whole cast is hilarious, so give this great show a watch :) Judy Greer has such great hilarity as does Tyler Labine and Jason Biggs. Sarah Chalke is adorable and does a great job in her role as well. There have also have been guest performances with Martin Starr and Brittany Snow as well. This is easily becoming one of my favorite shows to watch and I know it will be yours too. The chemistry of the cast definitely shows and I'm sure the audience quite enjoys it :)So tivo this or just watch it on ONDemand if you must because it is seriously a great show. So just go watch it! :) You won't be sorry :):):):):):):):)
Vision Quest (1985)
Proves that 1985 is the best year of the 80s
I saw this movie about one or two years ago and just recently rented it last week and I love it. I saw someone typed that people depreciate it because of not living through the 80s while I was born in the 90s and I love the 80s, and especially this brilliant 80s movie that as my summary is that 1985 was a good year during the 80s. Louden Swain is a young adult that just turned 18 and states in the beginning: "I'm Louden. Louden Swain. I turned 18 last week, I wasn't ready to. There's so much I haven't done yet. So I made a deal with myself, this is the year I make my mark." So when Louden's coach whoever would like to challenge the number one man in his weight class, Louden's hand goes up and the coach says he is already number one at 190 he says he knows and then Kusch complains that he should stay in his own division and that he's not giving up his spot. After that the coach pulls him aside and then Louden says he's going to drop to 168 and wrestle Shout. After the coach tells Louden he's insane, he tells Louden he'll let him wrestle 178 against Kusch but if not he'll go back to his own division. He wins and starts his training to make it down to 168. After coming back from his hotel job he see's Carla telling a car salesman that he sold her a lemon. Louden's dad works as a mechanic and punches him in the face. Then Louden's dad tells Louden to take Carla down to get a hamburger. Louden asks Carla why she's down in Spokane since she's from New Jersey and won't tell Louden what she's doing. Louden asks how old she is and tells him 21 so there's a three year difference. Louden's dad loses his job and then Louden and his dad let her live with them. After Carla has been living under Louden and his father's roof he falls in love with her. Which is inflicted with his plan to wrestle Shout. Later on when Louden see's Carla with Mr. Tammeran, Louden's English teacher, he thinks that they're having sexual relations and refuses to talk to Carla, and attempts to have sex with her and Carla pushes him off and tells him that part of being a man is knowing what a woman wants and respecting that, and that part of being a kid is that he could say something stupid and still get his face ripped off for saying it. Louden continues to get nosebleeds from not having enough iron, and Carla says he should eat more spinach. He says he's sorry but she walks out of the room. She shows that she forgives Louden by coming to one of his wrestling matches, and later when their in the coffee shop he tells her that he doesn't care if she's doing "it" with Mr. Tammeran, and Carla then kisses him. Later on in the movie they travel up to see Louden's grandpa and later Carla tells Louden that he has a lifetime left and what about his vision quest to defeat Shout and the girls to make love too and when he asks her to name one she pulls him towards herself and then it happens. A day before the match though, Carla leaves, and when Louden doesn't show, Coach asks where he and Kusch says he'll be there. Right before the forfeit Louden arrives and makes the weight. Then before he has to wrestle Carla comes in and Louden is upset that Carla left and didn't say goodbye and then Carla tells him that if she didn't leave he wouldn't be wrestling Shout, and then right after she says goodbye she tells Louden to beat Shout. Carla stays for Louden's match.Louden does get a nose bleed during the match but still wins. This movie is a must see rather you want to see a really good sports movie,or a really good 80s movie.
The Wedding Singer (1998)
A Great Flashback to 1985
The year 1985 was a great year from the 80s and this movie from 1997 set in the 1980's proved that. From the clothing to the music to that totally radical 80s hair it was totally 80s. Adam Sandler played the part of the wedding singer Robbie Hart, who was supposed to marry Linda who never showed up to the wedding and then later came to Robbie's house and told him she never wanted to marry him. Drew Barrymore who played the part of Julia, who was a waitress who was getting married to a guy she had been with for two years, Glenn Goulia. In the end the two realized they were met to be together and then became Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Hart. A true romantic victory!
The Wedding Date (2005)
Great Movie
I had wanted to watch this movie for quite sometime and had never gotten the chance. So tonight after I watched the awesome action flick First Blood, I turned on TNT and this movie was on. Of course I fell in love with it because it was a romantic comedy and liked Debra Messing a lot. All through the movie there was never a dull moment. With Messing, and Durmont and of course Adams who played the spoiled half sister of Messing who sleeps with the guy whom she likes and no one told her and so she is upset when she finds out the day before Adams gets married. You'll enjoy this movie if you love romantic comedies. If not you may still enjoy it. What you might enjoy is the chemistry between Debra and Durmont.
Rocky (1976)
Rocky Is A Movie For All-Ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thirty-two years ago a character legend named Rocky Balboa was born. A man on his 29th birthday received $200 dollars if I can remember. He spent half on his birthday needs and wants, and he took the rest to see a fight between Wepner and Ali. That man was Sylvester Stallone. That night he went home and wrote the story of his own life, although some sites will tell you otherwise he really based it off his own life. He had taken his picture down to agencies and people turned him down. One time he even erupted throwing furniture around the room because he didn't get the fight. He had had previous movies but they were not successful. He said that if Rocky didn't make any money all hope was lost. Nobody wanted Sly to play Rocky. Stars were looked at such as James Caan and Ryan O'Neal. But Rocky said he would play the part or he wouldn't do it at all. What followed was a movie phenomenon. Sylvester never imagined it would go as well as it did. This movie is perfect if you want a good story. I has a story of gentle, sweet, and wonderful love between Rocky and the shy pet shop Adrian. It has the meaning of getting self-respect by competing for the title of the heavy weight champion of the world and lasting the 15 rounds, thereby going the distance. This is a great family film. Other than the hanky-panky between Rocky and Adrian and the bloody images of Rocky, this movie is great for the young ones. So what are you waiting for? It you haven't already seen this movie, rent it or wait to see it on t.v.
