The Resort (2022)
Funny, mysterious, adventurous.
I loved this show! It kind of gave me the "lost" vibe which may have had something to do with the setting but also the mystery surrounding the events of the stoey. The show was funny, quirky, didn't have a lot of nudity and the stuff that was in it was nonsexual. The story was very well interwoven and the deeper emotional moments really added to the story. The development of the characters was well done. I really enjoyed the intermixing of the past and present and the idea that everything happens for a reason There was quite a bit of swearing but all in all, a great watch and I would recommend this show!
The Resort (2021)
AWFUL
Just bad on all counts. The writing was bad. The filming was bad. Nothing happened for the first 2/3 of the movie. The acting was awful. The production was bad. The sound was bad. Just awful. Would give it a zero if I could. We didn't even finish it.
2067 (2020)
Interesting story.
I liked it. Well thought out, decent acting, and we'll filmed. Worth the watch.
Antebellum (2020)
Awful.
Not even sure I can make it through the whole movie. Politically motivated stereotypes and extremes. There are bad people in every group of people, so tired of the broad brush...the extremes in this movie are just awful. So. Very slow.
The Disappointments Room (2016)
Potential, but too much left out
This movie had quite a bit of potential with the cast and story. Unfortunately there was so much we don't know about the back story. Also, it kind of felt like another story where someone deals with trauma which causes an inability to differentiate between delusion and reality. Not an awful movie, but not a great one either.
Driven (2019)
Fun Movie
I really enjoyed the style of this movie. It played a little more like a long tv show than an intense movie. I really enjoyed the witty dialogue and quirky storyline. Not a typical scary, supernatural movie. I recommend giving it a try.
The Lodge (2019)
Awful!
Just a downright awful movie. I was tempted to give it a better rating because I thought the music, filming, and acting was decent, but the movie was that awful. Nothing good happens from beginning to end. A truly Disturbed woman, vile children and a apparently unaware and completely clueless dad who couldn't figure out that his girlfriend had severe issues. Just downright awful with an awful ending.
5th Passenger (2017)
Predictable
Not nearly as bad as some of the people have posted oh, but also not nearly as good as some of the other people who giving it high ratings. Most of the acting was below-average with a couple of exceptions. The special effects were average to below-average but I was moderately intrigued by the story. That being said it's predictable at best.
