I absolutely cant get all the raves about this movie. Absolutely ridiculous! There was no depth to the movie at all. "My all family is at this table" really??? Since when f*king a guy makes them your family. I like luc besson usually but except having sexy main characters there was no essence to this movie.... it was not smart at all and characters were not acting in any way natural

I thought i would see something like Amelie when it started. But this was not at all anything like that. The characters were so fake. No one was real feeling to them except maybe the doctor. Yes, you would argue that this was done deliberately to make the movie magical. But no it didn't do it for me. There are many ways making the movie magical without making the characters weirdos... again Amelie is such a good example of it... anyways, judge it for yourselves..

One of the bests

I usually don't weite reviews but seeing that there was no review on this film is a bit sad. What a breath of fresh air. Really enjoyed every part of it. Very special movie, very different to what we are all used to but at the same time it is not anything marginal or weird. It is proper sweet smart Christmas movie...

Movie with a soul

I found this movie quite an original one, although I guess there are similar movies in the Hollywood scene that I have not watched. The most beautiful part of the movie was of course the music - Kenan Dogulu has done an amazing job of creating 70s/80s style music from scratch. And Farah made an amazing work performing them. The scenes are colorful, cinematography is rich, dialogues warm and kind. I liked how the story unfolded slowly and sweetly, opening new layers to the drama. The relationship between the family members was very realistic, very Turkish. Yet there was a lot of modern universal sentiment to it. The actors are superb! Both the old ones and the young ones.

Looking forward to more of Cagan Irmak's original movies like this.
