Sherlock (2010–2017)

I prefer the old timer Holmes
29 April 2024
I love the stories/books of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson - but I couldn't like these series.

Why would we need a "modern Sherlock Holmes"?? We already have a character named like that and he lives in 19 century, and it's a Classic one. A Legendary detective.

Why ruining it's glory with something modern crap like this??

I just cant accept seeing Sherlock working with modern gadgets and starring at flat TV screens. No and No. This isn't Sherlock, this is something else to me, I can't accept it.

It's equal to rewritten someone's book, changing only the time of events, and claim it's yours book. Fictional or not, Sherlock Holmes has it's own place and time, and leaving it there is the best you could do.

The scenario - Ugh.... Watching Cumberbatch solving these mysteries makes me feel hollow. The way he solves the riddles is just unimpressive, like a robot. Nothing to do with the original character.

Plus the acting of Mr. Benedict is not enough believable... He's unimpressive. He wouldn't be a good cast even for a 19th century Sherlock series, doesn't have the charisma.

If this show was about some other fictional character or about some modern age real detective on it's own story - then I'd probably enjoy watching it on TV.

But it's not. It's ruining the good name of the legendary character created by Arthur Conan Doyle, and that's what I can't accept.

Overall, to me this show is overrated and overhyped and doesn't deserve such a high score. (as of April 2024 = 9.1/10)

I can only give it 3/10.

Wellington Paranormal (2018–2022)
2/10
Awful
28 April 2024
Arguably the worst comedy series ever. The humour is missing, all we have is a bunch of morons doing moronic stuff.

Maybe the funny part is that those morons are cops? Okay, they intended to be funny, but they failed.

I could feel my brain cells convulsing in agony after watching just one episode.

Plus, the shaky camera zooming in and out all the time, makes it simply unwatchable.

Dialogues are empty and idiotic, far from funny. All the "paranormal" activities are silly situations, made to entertain children viewers.

I really don't understand how anyone could rate this 10 out of 10??

It's an easy 2/10 to me.

Powered by Coal. Genius!
25 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The preparation for the "big battle" was like an old school cowboy movie where bunch of villagers unite with some strangers to defeat the outlaw bandits, and it was really boring.

Part II - Nothing original.

A lot of things made no sense in these two movies, but in Part 2 I had to rewind to see it twice, cos I didn't believe it at first - the mighty Dreadnaught was powered by..... coal?!? Bunch of shirtless workers throwing coal in furnaces with shovels...

aaahahahahahaha.... oh boy... Who genius wrote that?? Hahahahahaha

How about the manual-mechanical aiming system of the mighty Dreadnaught?? Ahhahahahahaha if the coal-engine didn't - the manual aiming totally killed me.

So, they have some advanced technology that made their swords glow, but their spaceship's engines were powered by coal?? Genius!!!

All the explosion special effects were kinda too much. Too much dust and smoke, adding nothing to the failure of the battle scenes where trained combat soldiers with mighty cannons couldn't defeat some farmers living in huts...

Some of those farmers were making faces like they were fighting their whole life, but in reality they were peaceful habitants who only farm. Their raging, but confident, faces were ridiculous.

"Epic" Soundtrack trying to suggest something epic happening, but it was off point from start to finish.

The Admiral's Nazi uniform was absolutely ridiculous, as well as his raging faces and movement in battle. A character who ruined the story the first second it opened its mouth and showed its face. Bad casting?

The leading girl (Kora) was unimpressive to me. Overplaying it, trying to portrait yet another "warrior girl".

What was the actual plot of this story anyway? Some fugitive tough girl, some evil party trying to find her, some villagers producing wheat, and? What was the whole point??

Seemed like just another CGI movie pretending to be an epic one, but the truth was I didn't care about any of them characters. It didn't matter who lives and who dies to me, despite the predictable victory for the villagers.

Can't give it more than 3/10 because it didn't touched me at all, and I saw nothing original.

One of those movies you'll forget the day after.

90 lost minutes of your life
6 April 2024
I will warn all my friends to skip this garbage. It's a total waste of time.

It had some potential but overall failed to impress. The acting was weak, the script was bad written and the whole thing badly directed.

90 minutes of your life which you'll never get back. I wish I had a device that can bring me back in time 2 hours so I can find another movie to watch.

I haven't watched many movies this year but by far this is the worst one.

To be honest, if it wasn't for Morgan Freeman I wouldn't watch it. Seeing the votes and the rating - it seems that even Mr Freeman wasn't a winning card for this poor production.

Few minutes after I watched it, I feel weird... scratching my head wondering why they even decided to film this bad script?

Very, very poor movie.

Damsel (2024)
4/10
Ugh, no.
19 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, first of all - this movie had the 80s feeling of a film making. It was a fairy tale that started very promising - a princess, a prince, a loving king-father, and a beast to fight against. Well packed storyline, but was it well executed?

I will start with the acting. The Damsel did a very good job, hats down to her. She had the charisma, the speaking, the body and the movement to play the fearless princess sent to the beast. She was showing emotions all the way, until the film-makers decided to add the Rambo stance and walk. Oh come on, people, what was that??? It ruined the whole efforts of the girl....

Or you just couldn't resist once again to make a Feminine Victorious movie, eh? Hey, I'm okay with that, don't get me wrong! It's just the fact that you've made the girl look like she's been fighting and killing dragons since she was 1 year old. There wasn't any fear in her eyes for a moment. A girl-gladiator who can kill anything and anyone, no matter it's size. Was that what you wanted to make it look like? Well, you have succeeded. You've ruined the whole movie with that, congrats.

The dragon. A female dragon. Okay, it's cool.

So, where was the male dragon, who get the lady-dragon seeded so she can lay an eggs?

The dragon was speaking about.... OH WAIT.... The dragon WAS SPEAKING??? Wow.... I mean.... Ha Ha!? That was one thing I've never liked in such movies - a fearful creature far from human race, to speak not any ancient language but specifically - English. There must've been a English Dragons School or something?

Anyways, so the dragon was killing innocent girls by playing hide and seek with them, insted of directly killing them?

Why the dragon just didnt killed them all at once, centuries ago, but had to go over and over on this for CENTURIES?? What a cruel evil dragon she is!! Lol

The whole story makes no sense. A party of soldiers led by a king go to a cave to hunt a dragon, while the dragon didn't provoked them at all. Why the dragon wasn't provoking them, what was she eating to survive for centuries? Was she on a "3 princesses" diet for centuries?

Why that silly king wanted to kill it, and how dumb they were going in the cave armed with swords only, without any tricks?? "Form the line" lol, like a line of shaking of fear soldiers could stop the melting fire?

And of course, each year 3 girls are vanishing, but no other kingdom ever wanted to check on their daughters for centuries. No one found out that the girls gone wasted the next day. Or, was it even the same day, the day of the wedding?

Lame writing, folks.

Soundtrack was on point. Scenery - on point. Visual effects - on point. Camera work - on point. And those are the reasons I'm giving it 5, instead of 1 star. I enjoyed it until "Rambo" came in and ruined it all.

Please don't make a sequel because I'm afraid you'll make it even more politically-correct than this one, and not only will look dumb, but will outshadow even the bad ending of Game of Thrones.

Triangle (2009)
4/10
Another endless loop...
2 March 2024
I kept this title in my "Watch List" for more than 10 years. Finally today decided to watch it...

I was expecting some Bermuda Triangle stuff, but wasn't clear if it was such event. It started kinda promising, and by the half it looked pretty mysterious, but by the end it went downhill.

We couldn't understand why this loop kept repeating and why it was happening even before they get on that yacht. To me it looked like the "Bermuda Triangle" effect is causing it while on that ship, but that theory has died when we saw it's happening even before the ocean storm. It kinda made no sense.

The acting wasn't good enough and there was too many useless characters in this story. I don't know if there's a 2nd movie, but even if there is - I'll skip.

My rating is generous: 4/10.

Wow...
23 February 2024
All the actors are one of my all-time favorites. I liked the first movie.

But.. This one is beyond stupid and pointless.... All dialogues were empty and the story was boring and slow moving.

Who approved this to be filmed, and didn't they saw how poor this production is becoming?

Wow... Just wow...

It's arguably one of the worst movie of this century. You would expect a better production with such a big name actors, no? Instead, you get an awful movie. So awful that it shouldn't be listed in this website and everyone pretend it was a low budget fan production. Despite... I do believe that fans can come up with a better story and will act with more passion.

Who Killed Our Father? (2023 TV Movie)
3/10
Pretty bad and amateurish
15 February 2024
It's not 'the worst of the worst' but it's pretty close to the bottom.

40-45 minutes into the movie and you still can't get who's who and who's fighting for what, or what this movie tries to tell. There wasnt really a plot, just some grieving people crying out and doing long conversations, without moving the story forward.

Also, I didn't see anything original or unseen before.

The acting was poor, no real emotions and you don't care about any of the characters. The leading girl was trying hard but it wasn't very convincing.

The music is awfuly awful, raises anxiety for no good reason whatsoever. They were probably looking to make it sound like a dramatic and thrilling movie, but in fact it's boring and annoying to watch it under such a soundtrack.

Maybe the only good thing about this production is that the camera isn't shaky.... But unfortunately that's not enough to make it a good movie.

I give it 3/10 and that's the maximum this production deserves, in my honest opinion.

Crippled people starts walking, blind people starts seeing, cancer ill people get healed instantly - yeah, it's something that happens all the time in real life, so why not make it on a movie and make more idiot to believe in this religious nonsense?

There isn't a story line, there's only a cheesy situations in which some random girl heals up blind people, cripples and reviving dead animals - something really natural, right?

Cheesiest of them all cheesy movies. Give them the Oscars in all categories and pronounce it as the greatest movie of all time! What are you waiting for?

Couldn't watch it till the end, my brain cells are allergic to stupid.

One of the worst motorcycle movies ever
29 January 2024
Nothing about this movie was good. Absolutely nothing. I'd give it 2 stars tho, because I've seen much worse.

There are many similar movies with similar empty plots and bad acting, with bad filming and bad directing, but it seems this one tops them all. Or it's for sure in Top 3 of Worst Motorcycle Movies.

The acting was beyond bad. It was so bad that it looked amusing at moments, like it's a parody.. Hahaha...

Yeah I know, one can't get any better results while using talentless writers, actors and filming crew. If I was the director though, I'd quit filming somewhere around 20th minute, because this production was limping since first scene and was moving slow and boring.

Why it's 2 hours long?? How they all managed to go through all of the filming without noticing something isn't right about this movie??

It looked like an absolutely amateurish movie, and it clearly didn't get any recognition. The fact that it has less than 200 voters, speaks for itself.

Why bother filming such a disastrous movie?? It's beyond my understanding why people decide to waste their time getting involved in such a bad movie. And, I'd really wanna know what was driving them through the process? What was their motivation to continue filming this nonsense?

No offence to the leading actor, but... He doesn't look like the right choice for such a role. It just doesn't. He'd be a better cast for some Karate/Kung-Fu movie. He doesn't look like a biker at all. Neither was it's acting any good.

I didn't watched it til the end because I could feel my brain cells agonizing in deadly pain.

One of the better comedies
26 January 2024
I don't understand the low ratings on this movie... It has everything needed to be a successful comedy, and indeed provides a good comedy. What else have you expected it to be???

Yes, the story might be cheesy, but... is there any comedy with a serious plot?? Haha come on, people!

To those claiming it was "too predictable" I can reply: No, it wasn't predictable at all. Unless, you're watching it for 5th time (because you loved it so much) and know how it goes? Mmmh? Lol

I remember I watched it when it came out 15 years ago and had a good laugh. It was on local cable today and I watched it for a second time and I enjoyed it the same was as I did 15 years ago!

Yes, it's a good movie, one of the better comedies out there. It's not great, but it's good enough to make you relax, smile and have some fun. What else would you need or expect from a comedy movie?!?

Sandra and Ryan did well, and all the hate on them, especially on Sandra is ridiculous. She might be 45 but she has a better body and looks better that you, is that why you don't like her?? That's ridiculous. She's such a sweetheart and always ads colors and shining to the movies she's in. The role of the "Witch on a broom Boss" suits her perfectly and she did well! Show some respect.

I'm giving it 8/10 because I enjoyed it (twice), and I'm sure I can watch it again and again without getting bored. One of the better movies out there.

R. I. P. Betty White.

The Middle (2009–2018)

It's just... Weak.
25 January 2024
I can't believe there's so much 10/10s...

Maybe I'm too old for this, or maybe because I'm not American I can't get it, but I know that this show isn't funny at all, or just that American humor isn't good enough to make me laugh.

I've been watching it every night on local cable for the last month or so, it's right after another series I follow (Person of Interest) and I'm using the TV as a night lamp watching "the middle" before sleep.

It's at season 5 currently, and I can't figure out who's fighting for what. Each character is doing some daily shenanigans without seeing any improvement. Just a random situation, most of them silly, ending up in an unimpressive way.

The dialogues are long and boring. It's not adding anything fresh, there's nothing original. It's just... Weak.

Seems like the whole show is pushed too much. The acting is far from good, and that weird looking little boy looks and acts ridiculous most of the times.

I don't get the hype, seriously. I would've watch this only if it's the only available series to watch in the world. But even then, no way I could rate it 10/10. It can get a maximum of 4/10 from me.

But because I have the freedom to watch another shows, it gets only 2/10.

One of the worst
23 January 2024
The Movie Industry should form some sort of a council that filters out the crap from good, so they never allow such horrible production to hit the public again.

If this is the "future" of cinema - then it's in a serious crysis. No story line, no character development, empty scenes and boring dialogues, no real emotions...

Haven't seen a worse bunch of actors for a long time. They lack charisma and talent, they sound and look fake, plastic. It's all just... Unrealistic. Cringe. Horrible.

The only good thing is that I haven't payed to watch this, it was spinning on local cable.

But, I've seen worse than this, so it gets a 2/10 from me.

Reacher (2022– )
7/10
Season 1 was better than 2
20 January 2024
I really enjoyed S1, the plot was dramatic and had many unknown spots. While in S2 everything looked predictable or easy to figure out, despite the small intrigue if Swan was playing with the bad guys or not.

Something was missing in S2, and even Reacher looked kinda different.... Like, exhausted of playing the role. He looked like he spent too much time at the solarium, tanned and grumpy.

To me in S2 it looked like the actor was playing the role because he had to, not because he wanted to... I don't know if there was some tension between actor and filming crew, but it looked like pretty different approach than in S1. Maybe that's because the cameraman and directors were different? I'm not sure..

I haven't read the books of Lee Child and that makes the series more watchable tho.

Looking forward to S3 and hopefully Reacher will find it's charisma back.

7/10 is a fair rating, imo.

Boring...
19 January 2024
One of the worst movies ever. There wasn't any story, it was really painful to watch the protagonist doing nothing at all... but demolishing and disassemble houses and stuff. The whole "story" was ridiculous and wasn't developing at all.

The others characters were also too shallow, some of them were even not needed because they wasn't adding anything into the story line.

What a waste of time this movie is.. I can't believe people can rate it 10/10.

I barely managed to watch til the end... And I've got really disappointed by it. Nothing happened. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Demolishing the Nothing...

First Disney Wars production that I liked!
25 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was very, very sceptical about this...

I have only watched Mando 3 seasons and was highly disappointed. The Space Cowboy soap opera wasn't feeling like Star Wars to me.

Disney Wars 7/8/9 were another huge failure.

But last week I was browsing YouTube and watched some fan Tribute to Darth Vader, very well done, where I saw a scene I've never seen before - Obi-Wan dueling Vader on some dusty planet. That got my attention and after short research I saw it's from the series about Kenobi.

Then I decided to give it a try, despite I was very sceptical.. Just wanted to see that dueling scene.

BUT... The story grabbed me very strong!! That was what I wanted to watch and was hoping to watch from Disney, not the nonsense sequels they've made!

I believe these Kenobi series (well at least season 1) are successful simply because the inclusion of Ewan McGregor for the role - his charisma gives a big boost for the production.

Leia and Luke as a kids - that was a good move!! Well played by the little girl, I liked her a lot! Sadly we didn't see much of young Luke, but I guess we will, in Season 2.

Another good move was the early Darth Vader! I absolutely applaud everything about his character and he made my day!!

The only disappointment were the villains, but we all know that Disney always portrays them as fools.

Another thing I didn't get, was why Reva went to kill Luke, instead of trying to continue hunting to kill Vader?

It made no sense to me. What was she hoping, that Vader will take her back, no matter she betrayed him and tried to kill him?? Ha ha.

Also it didn't make sense why she enjoys hunting and killing jedi, after her enemy was Darth Vader?? She could've get a better chance to kill him, but not in a duel... Foolish.

Also, how she survived after been grilled in the stomach by a lightsaber??

These minuses destroyed the perfection that this production could have.

But, despite everything, as I said above - this is the first Disney Wars creation that I liked. And I really liked it!! It brought me 40 years old good memories!

I hope S02 sticks to the original story line, as it did in S01.

Sad end of Indiana Jones
1 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It had some good moments but I couldn't feel the energy that Spielberg was bringing in. The CGI scenes at the beginning was cool and disturbing at the same time. Be careful with that technology, it can do more damage than joy.

The story line wasn't too bad, but the execution made me feel I'm watching a mix of Indiana Jones, James Bond and Tomb Raider all in one movie.

I understand the need to have a female hero characters, but that Wombat girl was way too much for my taste.

I understand the need to include black actors, bug I did not understand the inclusion of the black woman-agent - she was lacking to fit in the story. I couldn't even understand who's she and what she's fighting for. Before I found out, she got killed. End of a character. Totally unneeded one.

I understand the need to include high energy chases, but that chase with the small cars and then fixing it to continue moving - was bit unconvincing and ridiculous.

Harrison Ford is 80 years old, why pushing him to play in a movies where you're gonna destroy its iconic characters???

First was Han Solo, now Indiana Jones?? Why you're doing this, WHY???

I would've been absolutely thrilled if they let Indy stay in the past, that'd be the best ending ever, plus it was opening so many doors for future movies! Just think about it!!

But noo, Lara Croft had to punch the old man in the face and ruin the joy. Didn't even show how they managed to return back to their time with that small plane, "ran out of film" or what?

There was too many bad scenes and lack of humor and acting, for a Indiana Jones movie. Saying this as a 50 y.o. Who grew up with Indiana Jones and Star Wars, and for that reason I feel very sorry for this sad ending of Indy franchise.

But... They've killed Han Solo... They've killed James Bond... They've killed the Terminator... They've killed the Aliens... They've killed the Predator... So it's kinda good they let Indy live, at least...

What a sad generation of movie creators.... What a sad years for movie fans.... What a good years for movie critics....

Gran Turismo (2023)

Cool story, but...
13 November 2023
Poor execution. IMO, of course.

I'm one of those Gran Turismo (since PS1) fans who loved to drive hours and hours and I knew every single circuit with it's dangerous parts. The hours spend trying to get all licenses, and then trying to improve the times.

GT was a real magic and It's cool to hear a story about some kid who did all of this in reality!

But honestly - as a "movie critic", I wasn't impressed by this production. The acting was mediocre. None of them was convincing, it looked like an amateur movie production. There was some scenes that make no sense and was unneeded in the story.

The music was also weak.

I couldn't feel any tension during the races actually. Despite I didn't know the story line, everything seemed so predictable.

Overall, I didn't enjoyed this movie as I was enjoying playing the game. I know this movie isn't about the video game, but still - I didn't enjoyed it. Sorry.

It was okay.
5 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a M:I fan since the first movie. My favorite of them all is Rogue Nation, and my biggest disappointment was Fallout.

I was really hoping this new movie to be on a higher level than the last one, so I didn't watched any trailer for a reason - I just wanted to make sure I'd be entertained by the unknown. I've only seen the motorcycle stunt on youtube and that's it.

So, the first half of the movie was better, imo. After the middle some scenes were too boring, as well as the long fights and long car-chase.

Ethan was never a big fist-fighter in the previous movies, he was always winning by smartness, not by power.

Why they decided that Ethan will fight everyone by bare hands (or knives) in this one? Some of the fights were too long and boring. The fight with Gabriel on top of a high-speeding train was ridiculous and ridiculously long.

There was some weird scenes, looked like actors were CGI.

The whole concept of the plot is interesting, but at moments it was too naive.

Ilsa shouldn't die... Or she faked her death, again??

Overall it was entertaining and I'm looking forward for part 2.

Downton Abbey (2019)

One of the most boring ever
9 September 2023
It's absolutely boring, slow moving, with no real story line at first place.

Looks like a big budget was spent making it, but it's lacking to grab and keep my attention. It's similar to an Indian soap opera, just in British aristocracy.

All dialogues are empty, despite they're all talking too much. I couldn't care about any of the characters.

The soundtrack was mostly annoying and sort of not fitting at such a movie. Only the classical tunes were spot on.

It's beyond my understanding why people would rate this 10/10... What's so genuine or brilliant in this production?

I only rate 10/10 movies which reach leave a solid mark by a brilliant acting, camera work and directing. This thing here has nothing of these, not even close.

Even if you're a huge fan of the series (which I haven't watched), raging it 10 is just too much. Let's be honest.

One of the most overrated of all time
11 August 2023
Boring, slow moving story. It started promising but then turned into a snooze fiesta.

People get hyped for Tom Hardy, and only because of him they give it 10/10. Hilarious!

He's so weak as an actor that it's not a wonder they offer him roles only in stupid productions. Seriously, I've seen him in many movies and he's lacking talent a lot.

This show isn't exception. There was a repetitive scenes of same house angle (when he enters his house) and that was so stupid. Many other occasions were showing same points of view, which I find very amateurish.

Acting was weak and the conversations were long and boring. His spiritual and sexual relationship with his own sister totally destroyed the shallow script.

There wasn't any character development, and watching this show is a torture.

Currently it has a rating of 8.3... This is ridiculous! LOL.

Rare dumb movie
24 July 2023
Who wrote this, and why? Who decided to film it, and why?? I haven't watched a worse movie in the past 10 years or so.

This thing could easily be ranked in Top 10 of The Dumbest Movies of All Time. Yes, it's that awful.

The acting was horrible and absolutely pointless. There wasn't anything intriguing and the characters were shallow as a rain puddle.

It supposed to show some chicks doing scams to get men's money, but its one awkward situation after another. With some bad jokes in between. And no humor at all.

In general - to me, this is one of the worst movies ever, and I'm amazed to see it was made in 2019. If it was made in 1979 I would understand the low production, but 2019 and this crap....

Maybe it simply shows how talentless writers are nowadays?

Too bad
13 July 2023
Supposed to be a Comedy/Romance, but it was a saltless meal.

The acting was too weak. The two leading actors were uninspiring and unconvincing, and there wasn't even chemistry between them, not even any romantic feeling... Sorry.

The soundtrack of the movie was too bad, it feels like they gathered some "royalty free" melodies and just added it to the movie. Haven't seen a worse soundtrack on a Comedy movie ever.

The story itself wasn't too bad, it was just too bad executed. With higher budget, better director and better actors it might be supposedly a better movie, which at least could offer some romance and comedy elements.

Vulgar rubbish "comedy"
2 July 2023
I have no idea why people are so hyped about MM and give 10/10 at all her movies. Let's be honest - she isn't anything good as an actress. She's mediocre and below.

This movie isn't any different of her library, offering nothing but fault vulgar language, annoying blabbering and unfunny jokes. I couldn't even laugh when she fell on the stairs.

It's by far one of the worst comedy I ever watched. The whole story offers nothing unseen before, nothing intriguing and moves slowly. Two hours are too much for this empty script, it shouldn't be longer than 90 minutes.

Vulgar rubbish "comedy", I can't give it higher than 2/10.

Boring and nonsense movie
16 June 2023
By far one of the most boring and nonsense movoes I've ever watched.

Boring. Nonsense. Awful black comedy. It requires strong nerves to watch it all.

The acting was very wooden, no one of them actors was showing compassion to its character. Very empty acting and lacking story telling.

Maybe the only good thing was the camera work, for which I'm rating it 2⭐ instead of 1.

I've watched many French movies, and I can easily say that this one was the worst French movie I've ever watched in my life. Honestly, I'm wondering how it has been nominated and managed to win 2 awards.

Those movie award academies should lift higher their requirements.
