Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024– )

I don't care that is not like the movie, but bad is bad
3 February 2024
Super slow and boring, and the leads have absolutely ZERO chemistry. The only watchable part was the opening 5 minutes. I would have would have been more entertaining to watch Alexander Skarsgard and Eiza Gonzales sit in that old farm house staring at that ugly wallpaper for all 8 episodes. Donald Glover is a decent actor and musician, but is hit or miss with his entertainment output. Maya Erskine falls flat for me. She had no charisma as Jane, and zip her that she's supposed to be some kind of neurodivergent character type, but it doesn't work for a leaf in this capacity. It makes for a while lot of boring.

Better than Christmas with the Campbells
11 December 2023
I don't know what it is with the parody parading as serious hallmark style cheesy Christmas movies being churned or in recent years but I can't imagine that anyone could watch these movies with any grain of seriousness when the plots are completely stereotyped and across who are generally decent actors purposely over (under?) act to be on par with actual holiday movies thar are supposed to be taken seriously. That being said, this movie made me laugh hard at the ridiculousness of how perfectly this movie played on those played out tropes. And, they did it better than the 2022 Christmas parody, Christmas with the Campbells which was just downright cringe-worthy thanks to my beloved Justin Long's awful, over the top nondescript southern/Midwestern small town cowboy accent. I hear Justin Long but I heart Chris Hansen almost as much and at least he didn't attempt a bad accent. Definitely worth a watch for a good laugh at the tongue in cheek, poking fun at sappy holiday romance movies.

Excellent series with a great cast!
25 November 2022
I had high hopes going in since I'm a huge fan of Cristina Ricci, Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Wednesday did not disappoint! It was a well-crafted and imaginative series that kept me guessing until the final episode! I grew up watching the original Addam's Family Series on reruns as well as the cartoons so was very happy to see that the new series stayed truer to the original cartoon depictions of the characters. I was nervous that it would be too similar Chilling Adventures of Sabrina given the setting at Nevermore Academy but was happy that it was just a dark yet possessed more dark humor and emotion than the Sabrina series. Fingers crossed that there will be a season 2 and beyond!

Bad bad bad bad bad
26 September 2022
Bad script, even worse acting - the lead bad guy who played head douche Josh was horrible! The whole cast and movie itself was like watching a mediocre college film studies project. The plot was thin and boring overall. I felt no connection to the protagonist and I found it unbelievable that Josh's friends went along with his nastiness. It was fill off or dated movie tropes and nothing interesting to hold the viewers attention. What a waste of time! If you want to see a brilliant revenge thriller then check out the movie Revenge. That has a better script and better actors. Very disappointing movie.
