Spaceman (I) (2024)
10/10
Science Fiction Masterpiece!
7 March 2024
Adam Sandler does something that I never thought he could have done. He acted. Wonderfully at that, Sandler instantly shows his acting chops from the get go. Everything about this movie is beautiful, the filming, the isolation that you feel on that ship with Sandler is really realistic. Anyone who does not get this movie, is either looking for a comedy and more of the same, or they are looking to escape this reality and join the reality of the movie Spaceman. Watch this, you will not regret it. This movie is about regret. Loss hurts so much more once you have pushed someone away for long enough. This is the sadness that is the underpinning arc to the beauty of this film. It reminds me of Castaway with Tom Hanks, but takes it to a different level and respects that this is its own thing. Sandler well done. I think this is some of your best work.

Mexicant Superhero
16 October 2023
I hate how when these type of movies attempt to include a new race of superhero, that they have to show that the family is funny, and its the american who is the villain, ya know to include the new viewers and show how diverse we are. I am all up for an hispanic hero, but to try and make humour of their family culture and turn the family into a charictature of stereotype. Why not just focus on the main character. We do not need to know that he is living in poverty, it is just so paint by numbers. I believe if this came out in the 90s it would of been a blockbuster. Nothing in this feels original. It is like Venom, but in neon pink and blue. More of the same. I do not want more of the same any more. The rest of the world does not want more of the same. So why do they serve us this? Ditch the stereotyping, the humour, tone it down.

Saw X (2023)

Starts off great, ends like a pantomime
2 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
First of all it was great to see a Saw movie with the focus being on John Kramer. He plays off this prequel sequel perfectly and it is easy to imagine the situation as real. Until we start to see the plot begin to unfold. John Kramer is scammed into believing he has had his cancer removed. What are the chances? John Kramer crammed so much into his final days, in this movie we get to see John Kramer as a hero, a family man with values. They sail off into the sunset in this one. The villainous woman explains her motives and moves like some 1960's Batman episode... you know for the viewer... I would of been happier if they would of smeared Amanda's makeup across her face, to make us believe it was the past. Instead we get what we get, which is a much older woman playing a younger woman and it shows. The credit goes to Tobin Bell in this one. The movie is the tenth in the franchise, and it was not bad considering all which we have seen in the past... I just wish it did not have that heroes save the day ending, and had grittier lighting. Besides that.... I would give it a 5/10....

Unfunny jokes, phoned in Tobey Maguire performance
22 December 2021
Ok this movie is not bad at all, however I cannot praise it and give it a 10.

The first 20 minutes have some horrifcally edited fast paced non stop jokes.

It is exactly what you see in the trailer so there is nothing new. Tom Holland does his best as Spider-man. He is a good cast member, however in this movie he becomes second fiddle to one of the worst characters ever. Ned. Every scene there is a joke being cracked whilst he is on the screen. It completely fell flat. Why so many jokes? It is weird. Andrew Garfield was great, but then it is joke after joke with Ned's gran or aunt or mum. Awkward humour that just does not work for me. Doc Ock was amazing. The way they made him good really was welcomed as deep down he was a good man. Goblin returning was great also. I cannot say the same for Sandman, he was so dull in Spider-man 3 and he is just as dull in this. Electro... ahh man, why change him? I am guessing Jamie Foxx said I am not returning looking blue.

So his character and attitude change felt more like he was making a cameo. Again joke after joke after joke. Then we get Tobey. This was the thing I was looking forward to most. He felt awkward, lazy and out of place. I have been saying all year that I would love a Spider-man 4 but after seeing the way his character was handled I do not think I would want it any more. The movie is not bad, it is alright but just alright. To say this is better than Endgame is one of the weirdest things to say.

Anyway peace. I expected more of Tobey. Less jokes, much less jokes.

This has gotta be the worst form of entertainment
20 October 2008
My daughter comes into my bedroom early hours every morning and puts this pile of rubbish on, the singing, the songs and the overall performance from the so called vocal coaches is dreadful, the concept is so unappealing it bores me, I have nightmares thinking oh my its going to be on in the mornings. Its the worst alarm clock ever invented. Carrie's singing voice is like a cockerel dying and in pain, the only reason it is on in my house is straight after it a quality program like something special comes on, which I quite enjoy and find entertaining for everyone. People of all ages should avoid Carrie and Daves pop shop. Its a failed fame academy for children.

What was he trying to do....
21 October 2005
OK i love mel Gibson but this film is just trying to be as successful as braveheart, it fails badly you wanna know why? Heath ledger straight to video the king of flops. cast him why? hes cheap trying to break Hollywood. anyone agree. The context of the movie sucks What else can i say except the movie simply sucks. History does not need to be re-made the whole concept is taken edited into a whole new story. Jack ass the movie sucks worse than this then hercules in new york. i am the greatest man who ever lived please do not hesitate to contact me i am a superhero who wants to be recognized by people who are outside of my social class and social security.

The Lost Boys (1987)
Fangtastic, this film bites a chunk out of other horrors... and gives us something new... Great!
29 September 2003
When i think back to being a child the 80's springs to mind, Such a classic decade of film making, The Lost Boys is very dear to me, i remember staying up late to watch it, and was always fascinated with the story as it was orginal fresh and new but still had the ancient story of Vampires and all the myths that go with them. The Cast is fantastic, as are the special effects and script.

Here is a brief of the story

A family move into a new town with plans for a new life bah just watch it, its great....

4/5 i give it

What a waste of time
10 August 2003
Well ive just watched T3 and what can i say? this film is meant to relaunch his career? jesus christ i love Arnie but in this film he is worse than he has ever been. This film resembles nothing from T1 or T2, i feel really sad because i was expecting an epic movie, they have had 12 years to make a sequel and this is the poor effort they come up with? 3/10 overall

A great Sequel
1 May 2003
It was a Sunday morning and i decided to go see a sequel to a fine movie Shanghai noon, at first i was a bit sceptical about seeing this movie as it was set in England, but after the first 30 mins i was glued to my screens yet again, Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson make a great duo on screen. The only problem i had with Shanghai Knights is why they had to link some of the characters to famous people from that time, i thought this was totally uneccessary to the story and kind of put me off a little bit. And the music was poor compared to Shanghai Noon but over all it was a great flick and i do reccomend you to watch this on DVD and video because it entertaining to the max.

What can i honestly say?
2 August 2002
Just got back from the cinema, feeling very disappointed. Myers has gone overboard with this one. I cant see how anyone can relate in anyway to this film, it lacks in comedy from start to finish. Goldmember is the most unfunny character i have ever seen, same as Dr. Evil was potrayed badly in this one. Michael Caine as austins dad? i dont mean to keep moaning but come on, how is that funny? Pointing out a mole on someones face just sucks too, ahhh i dunno im just angry about wasting my money at the cinema, go see it if ya wanna be disappointed!

Superman II (1980)

EXCELLENT MOVIE
15 July 2002
How can you not like this film? The movie is one massive entertaining rollercoaster ride from the opening credits to the compelling and sophisticated ending. Reeve is excellent as the dopey-cool superman. The characters are believable, and the three villains are scary as they are meant to be. Only bad thing about this movie is Margot Kidder, she is terrible as Lois Lane. This was the greatest movie i saw as a child, Superman 1 doesnt compare to this film, there is actually a story to get engrossed into. Enjoy this film
